George isn’t bad he is just goofy. I don’t pull for him but I also don’t root against him. I’m for whatever it takes to keep this championship close to the end.

Really good race this week. Track delivered once again. That turn 3-6 complex one of the best in the series.
Ferrari pasta chef suicidal meme
Good race though.

Well I took a flyer on Max this week picking him second because of home track but I think I missed everything else

I did the same. Think I had max on the podium with both Ferraris.

Being unlikable and being a bad person are two different things
A lot of good people are unlikable
A lot of good people are unlikable

He's been wrong on every step of this formula so far. Might as well double down.
Dude is losing and driving with the best engine which he said would be the code. The technology is obviously kicking his arse too.

Those few early laps of him and Hamilton racing along with the drone shots of it were awesome. I have no idea how he hung on to the pass after locking up so much that one turn.

You are Confidently wrong

No he hasn’t. The other drivers have agreed with him. Either they’re all wrong and you’re right, or…..

A showcase of two very highly skilled drivers

Remember when Max said the team who built the most powerful engine would have a huge advantage? Max, per his assessment, has had a huge advantage this season.
Max fans would defend hin against anything. Dude fricked up the Monaco start and now yeeted into the wall in quali and people are blaming the car still.
The drivers have figured out how to drive after the first few races and no one is bitching.

Link?
That would make 0 sense being it was 50/50 power split so be best engine's advantage is mitigated by the battery portion.

It was back in 2024 or 2025 when he did sim work.
It makes sense. Just.is shortsighted especially when he assumed his team would build the best car but lack in engine as usual.

I think the better question is whether or not Max leaves. The RB car is improving and maybe in another year or so you won’t have to worry about diving into a corner without losing battery.
There were rumors that Mercedes low balled max, Toto specifically and that’s why he stayed at Red Bull. I call BS because Kimi didn’t show real progress until this year.
Does Mercedes have two drivers each making 70+ million per year? If Kimi wins this year, you’ll need to keep him by offering him at least that based on comps. And Verstappen will demand well above that.

What is the landing spot for Max?
Not that other teams wouldn't want him, but what is the landing spot?
Merc bumps Kimi or George on a championship run? Merc can't let Lewis or Leclerc go (allegedly). Maybe Piastri leaves Mclaren and that is a great spot in year 2 or 3 of the formula.

Hard to tell. If RB keeps making improvements that keep them an upper-middle of the pack team, Max can still win because of his skill and intimidation factor (you know, frick with him and he’ll send you into a wall without consequences). RB also gives him a lot of flexibility to act how and do what he wants (other racing series on off weeks as long as they can plant a bull on the side).
The only other contenders I see are Mercedes (if they can pay that much for drivers according to stakeholders), McLaren (GP is going there), and Ferrari (less likely now with Leclerc's extension) and Hamilton besting him lately who is also trying to secure a new contract.
After the summer break Max will be in a position to void his RB contract, just depends on how much Mercedes concedes and how much they’re willing to have the most expensive driver lineup in F1 history, while still paying George’s buyout.
