Pretty cool Chase brought her out to the track. Talk about a memory

That was cool. That little girl will never forget that.
And only a real a-hole would downvote that.

I was at the race last night, highly endorse Atlanta if you want to attend a race. I’ve only been to talladega, so it was nice to see the full track. Racing action was awesome, and crowd was nuts when chase won. Fantastic experience.

RFK seems to be surging, 2,9,15 this week. After a 4,8,9 last week.
Penske took a big shite.

My quick summary all 3 races:
Craftsman Trucks were flat out horrible. Lime Rock had most ever fans but there was simply no passing. Track is too narrow with faster trucks to have any. Worst truck race of year. Had some late action when a few went off track and got stuck allowing the most passes on ensuing restart but that manufactured not due to track.
Busch cars: really good race with lots of passing. Enjoyed it.
Winston cars: Best race of season. Constant action all thru field with passing. Hate to see big wreck but again that was caused by restart. Once past 2 laps after restarts the action was intense.

Yep, I expect Zilisch will be moving up.

Zilisch is the logical choice IMO

Anyone notice they have not released ratings yet. Always release on Tue. My guess is they went way up after the Prime disaster and they don’t want to put them quickly out to show that. Or they show a decline as long term fans shut them off for good.
They lost so many viewers with Prime.

Had to dig to find numbers

Ugh, Saturday night NASCAR races just can't seem to pull numbers. NASCAR says it got an average of 1.6 million viewers for the Atlanta race.
Also, if you were wondering about F1 viewership on the F1 movie's premiere weekend, the Austria race got 1.1 million viewers (a record for that race, but only up two percent over last year).

@Bucky515
How does that compare to the September date for this race last year? And for the race held the same weekend last year?
Jeff Gluck
@jeff_gluck
Hi Hugh. The ratings people feel this is apples and oranges comparisons, but:
Atlanta September last year (playoff race but head-to-head with NFL Sunday): 2.02 million
Same weekend last year was Nashville on a Sunday night for NBC: 3.24 million
——
So same weekend as last year and they lost half of their viewers. Prime was a mistake and its bled over to the next carrier. Where’s all the new fans they claimed? And it appears the regular fans they lost during Prime didn’t come back. I thought it was best race of year.

Ratings say otherwise, homes.
That is simply not true. Every Prime race was down big year over year. Those are facts.
Nastycar and Prime and their press pimps tried to convince gullible fans it was up by using sneaky stats. They lost 5 fans to every one gained. They claimed it was a win because its a younger average. Well if you push out a huge older fanbase and replace with less young ones your average will decrease. But you still lost close to 20% of your fans lol.
And now it seems most of those fans never cane back once Prime was done. But it also seems most of the new coddled fans they covet never came back after Prime either.
You can try and put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig. This was a huge failure. Facts support it.

Let's see if the usual suspects find a way to still bitch about this.

I think Atlanta should be the final race of the regular season and we should move Daytona back to 4th of July weekend.

Agreed.

The City of Daytona moved the date. They were stretched thin w/LEO coverage between the race and normal July 4th beach crowds. IOW, the 400 will never be on the 4th again.

This is an absolute travesty.
