The Aston Martin is by far the best sounding car out there, bar none.
I worked the track Tuesday, which was GT3 only. The Paul Miller BMW M4 GT3's were the best looking to me (I'm a big BMW guy), with iHart livery. The Turner M4 looked and ran good (Will has my first born, from my racing days).
Wednesday was a combined LMPD (or LMPh, whatever they are calling them now) and GT3 event from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.I didn't work it, I don't work those kind of hours anymore.
Today I stopped by the track (Thursday) about 3:30 and the session ended at 4:00 pm, prototypes only. There were quite a few cars still out, including the Aston Martin, which looks and sounds sick. There were quite a few LMP2 cars, which surprised me.
I saw the Lamborghini LMPD car getting Teched on Tuesday, but according to the article linked it didn't run. It will be the nicest looking car out there, trust me on this.

That's midway down the back straight, still have a ways to go before lifting.

The Lambo GTP didn't finish the practice session, I read.

In expected news, Rinus Veekay has been signed by Dale Coyne racing to drive their #18 Honda. He'll be paired alongside Jacob Abel, one of three highly-touted Indycar rookies this season. This is a slam dunk driver lineup for Coyne. Veekay is a race winner and one of the most talented young drivers in Indycar. Let's hope Coyne can have some success. The entire 27-car field is now complete for the 2025 Indycar season!
Speaking of the field, they'll all be at Sebring next week for testing on the Sebring Raceway short course.
Let's hope our guy Pitt Road can get us the inside scoop (and some pictures).

Anyone here been to Road America or Watkins Glen? I am trying to decide between the two. RA IMSA is a sprint where Watkins is a 6 hour.

A sharp paint scheme for Ed Carpenter Racing!

New tire allocation rules for road and street courses: an additional sticker set of alternates is added at the expense of a sticker set of primaries. Each car will now receive 5 sets, each, of the alternates and primaries at each road and street course.

Both places look awesome. Last year's Watkins Glen IMSA race was a banger.

Yes. I'm leaning towards Watkins but cannot make my mind up.
I just got my tickets for Petit LeMans and am also going to Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix. Next year will be Daytona 24 if I can get tickets.

Is anyone here a WEC fan? They run a race in Texas. They also have American teams, drivers, and manufacturers. Is there any support for me to include them in this thread? I don’t mind at all. They have their season opener coming up this Friday, Feb. 28.

Can we get Imsa out of here
It’s a micro niche series than gets like 1/10 of the tv ratings and viewership of Indycar ( a niche sport)
Drivers are all f1/ Indy rejects or lacked the talent to even reach that echelon
They have 2 maybe 3 big US events

Was that Ryan Phillippe they are using as a hype man? How many people will even recognize him? They couldn't get a more well-known star to hype up the TV audience?
