It's some BS. It just takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone.

It’s not IMSA but the Bathurst 12 hour race is this weekend. GT race in Australia, no American Manufacturers competing this year tho. Practice sessions started this afternoon, main qualifying is at 8:05 tomorrow night, and the race begins Saturday afternoon at 12:25. All times central. I think it will be streamed live on YouTube.

Was starting to think the Brits arrested his arse for calling that fat broad fat.
I checked his patreon page and he had something there from the day before saying he was working on a big video.
Still surprised he hasn't had anything out for a while.

Is Ford going to swerve IMSA?
Posted on 1/31/25 at 9:30 am to Tornado Alley
The press release only mention WEC and Lemans but this article indicates they will also enter their prototype in IMSA to use Daytona and Sebring as practice/warmup races.
Ford will use IMSA to prepare for Lemans

The #8 Tower Motorsports LMP2 has had victory of the Rolex 24 stripped from them!
I could give a trophy back without any problem, but it'd be hard to give that watch back.

They kept talking about the mustang running this year on last year's stream. All the cars that race the bathhust are running the previous years FIA certifications. Which is why you see them running the previous years model. The Rolex runs under some grace or something regulations for FIA certifications so they can run the current years cars. It was properly explained but I've since forgotten. If anyone wants me to I'll tweet RLM tomorrow and ask.
Yeah, it does suck that a few bad apples may ruin the fan experience at the Rolex. I would've supported that crew member having that fan escorted out by security.
As the fan should have been.

Pato and Josef commercials during the Superb Owl are good for Indycar.

Scotty Mac and Josef Newgarden to test the Porsche Penske IMSA car at Sebring the next few days.
I believe there are also some other Indycar drivers testing at Sebring this week.
We're getting closer!

Anyone want to add the WEC to this thread? Obviously, Indycar and IMSA are the top open-wheel and sportscar series in the United States, but WEC does run a race here and features multiple American teams and drivers.
Admittedly, I don't follow WEC but for Le Mans and if there's nothing else on. But it's an elite - maybe the elite - sportscar series.

Daytona and Sebring used to be WEC/WSC events.

Super sexy shakedown livery for BMW for Sebring testing. I kind of wish the M logo still had the colors, but good looking nonetheless.

Looks like a Batmobile

Kyffin Simpson's #8 CGR Honda has Jeff Gordon vibes.

I don't like anything with Jeff Gordon vibes.
And Kyffin?

Another picture of the #25 BMW at Sebring with its Batmobile paint scheme.

I think it's a sharp paint scheme.
Kyffin Simpson is a second-year Indycar driver for Chip Ganassi Racing. He was born in Barbados but is a citizen of the Cayman Islands.
I may eat these words, but my guess is he can bring a lot of budget, because his career has not been that impressive, although he has had some success at two of the three "major" IMSA races (Sebring and Petit Le Mans).
