Yeah. I decided to let them ride. After this race I want to analyze the averages. I’m still hopeful for Ferrari.

Just finished qualifying. Sainz in front of Hamilton is kind of funny and sad for Ferrari.

Ferrari deserves everything they get for the move of hiring Hamilton. Hamilton has been washed for years, IMO.

Perhaps they want to get more wealthy black athletes to buy Ferrari's, but I believe that every car Ferrari builds is already sold or reserved. Unless Ferrari increases their manufacturing capacity, I don't understand what the ultimate motive was for Ferrari to make the deal with Hamilton.

The hiring of Hamilton makes/made no sense to me.

Check out their stock price. Ticker RACE.

Might clear up some confusion as to why this move was made

Yeah the value added after the signing was around $7 billion. F1 should be about raw speed sure but that's billions with a B and it's not like Ham is fighting for 18th place.

It was a little head scratching for me too and while Ham is getting up there in age he’s certainly not washed. Think he’s still a superstar that was in a sub par car for a few years.

Think Sainz surprised them some with his performance last year after they made their decision.

They had a good duo that they could have stuck with for another 5+ years probably but they must have wanted to see what he could bring to the team competitively.

I think the last couple seasons with Mercedes scarred Lewis. It’s like he’s fighting ghost in the car. Constantly fiddling with the set up and trying new things.

P.S. Anyone looking for some F1 memorabilia?

Ferrari sells just as much in merchandise as they do cars.

That was my question when I heard that. How and when?

According to planetf1:
quote:

But 12 years on, Schumacher has – with the help of his wife Corinna – signed an iconic helmet for Stewart, one that the triple World Champion will wear when he drives the 1973 Tyrrell 006 F1 car in Bahrain on Sunday.

According to reports, Corinna assisted Schumacher in penning his initials ‘MS’ onto the helmet that will be auctioned to raise funds for Stewart’s Race Against Dementia charity.

I really respect the way that Schumacher's family has conducted themselves since the accident.

Davide is decent at the grid walk but you have to concentrate to understand everything he says.

I think he passed right by David Richards. Richards slammed MBS this week and supposedly is meeting with him this weekend. He might have been a good interview.
