Landon pushed that. Can't fault Max here.

Lando needs to grow up. Max didn't push him anywhere. He got released into Max who drove straight between the white lines.

Albon is really wound up.

The Rising Sun might set on Yuki today if Lawson finishes above him in the Running Bull.

Yuki is lapping around 0.8s slower than Max.

Max doesn't have the pace to pull away. He's going to win this race only because of his epic qualy lap.

Lando should let Oscar by.

Suzuka remains at the pinnacle of motorsports circuits and VER is the best motor racing driver in the world, to this day.

Shouldn't have been. McLaren plays that correctly with putting one of them in clean air and I think we see a very different race.

Only one position change in the top 10. Hamilton passed Hadjar in the pits. So no actual on-track pass in the top 10.
Honda happy.
Biggest riser was Doohan +4.
The biggest loser was Lawson -4.

Fat Brown's strat team continues to suck and this makes me happy.
Bearman in the points with a floor the engineers basically eyeballed into something decent is nice.

Strangely, Suzuka is as bad as Monaco when it comes to passing. I blame 130R. If they re-profiled it to require heavy braking, then they could add a 2nd DRS zone and a braking zone. Otherwise, it's just too much of a flowing track. And the last chicane makes it much harder to pass in the one DRS zone. To be fair to Yuki regarding race pace, he spent almost the entire race about 1 second behind Gasly (first stint) and Alonso (2nd stint). So his pace suffered because he was behind slower cars he couldn't get by.
Antonelli, Hadjar, and Bearman are all doing great. Good batch of new guys.
Lawson still not looking good.

Suzuka is an old school track with one chicane thrown into it. These cars are terrible for racing on tracks like this. Frankly, it would be better if they took out the Triangle but there is no way they want them basically being flat around multiple corners.

For anyone getting up this morning, pouring a cup of coffee, and about to sit down to watch the race, don’t bother, watch the highlights, save yourself a couple hours, it truly is a shite race. You’ve been warned.

This was a perfect example of Lando being mentally weak—a whiny, empty sack. McLaren is going to mess around and lose Piastri if they don’t figure out that it’s about winning, not treating the drivers with kid gloves.
McLaren doesn’t have the killer instinct Red Bull does. Piastri has it, but he’s not going to stick around much longer if they keep this up.
