To me, it seemed like he locked up because Kimi came over.

Exactly but as FT said the fact that LeClerc is out of the race probably played a big part in the severity of the penalty

What an unremarkable season from Hamilton.

Max pitted again?

He did.

He doesn't need to stop again, if he can manage those mediums for 35 more laps, which is doable. Everyone else ahead will likely have to stop again.

Yep. Kind of surprised.

Might be because of what tires he has available

Hamilton done

Hards would get Piastri to the end. Instead he goes soft.....bro is going to have to lay down some lap times.

Piastri and Verstappen battle about to happen.

Piastri has tire advantage for the next 10 laps or so. Max has track and engine advantage.

George has knocked 1+ second off his gap to Kimi.

Make that 2+ s.

Norris blew by Max earlier. Expect Oscar to get by

Norris was closer whixh helped.

If piastri can get max into a battle then Max has to get off his strategy. Assuming Max is planning to go until the end.

Is the track eating up the tires that much?

It is. New asphalt on the final sector I believe.

Lots of sliding around as well

Last pits cycling now

Piastri went ahead and boxed. Would have loved to see Norris get by him

Everyone pitted. We were robbed of Norris v Piastri (which wasnt a fair fight)

Max is racing ant/Russell it seems. 15 second gap.

Max's tire life is the question.
