Did they say Russel won it last with that exact strategy?
McLaren puts Oscar to give him mediums and tells him to drive like he has hards. Then give Lando actual hards.

Were last years compounds the same as this year? piastri can make those mediums last, he just has to slow down to make it happen.

Hell of a gamble. Not sure why they wouldn’t just put him on the hards. Not a conspiracy theorist over this but do think they just made a mistake.

I dont believe any of the teams had faith in the hards. Thought they were 2 steps harder than mediums.
If McLaren missed then everyone missed. Surprised we didnt see more split strategies. Must mean no one had faith in the hards.

With 9 laps to go it looks like the mediums were right. The degradation doesnt seem to be coming.

Great drive for Oscar. Lando just made too many mistakes where Oscar didn’t.
