Hell, I was picking on them but they’ve at least seemed to fix their pit stop issues from last year.

Ferrari has won the DHL fastest pit stop for 6 outta the 7 races so far. They got dropped after the double DQ in China but still had the fastest. Strategy and when to do the pit stop are still there for them to mismanage tho

Sainz radio message was perfect. Williams knew they screwed it up then basically let Sainz accidently know.

Sainz seems to get more bad team decisions than any driver. Cherry on top was if he would have pitted like a lap later he would have been under VSC and wouldn't have made it quite as bad.

And they will though it has been a huge improvement under Fred.

Good luck with that. He'll spend $500M just getting it approved by FIA and whoever owns F1 these days.

Nope.

I checked the Lime Rock Schedule, Trans-Am is there this weekend.

They used to run the IMSA race in Monday, I believe because of a noise ordinance.

Yes, Limerock doesn’t let any series run on Sunday. The race got removed from the schedule last year because of a “scheduling conflict” and wasn’t added back this year.

OK guys, the weekend is upon us! Monaco is the second race of a triple-header and the prediction lists will be locked tonight.

Remember, last year the top 10 of the starting grid finished the race in the exact same order. Worst race ever. I remember VCARB told Tsunoda in P8 to go slow to preserve his tires. Albon in P9 was complaining over the radio about how slow Yuki was going. Then a few laps from the end of the race VCARB told Yuki his tires were fine and to go as fast as he wanted. Yuki then left Albon in the dust. After the race Albon was exasperated that Yuki was just sandbagging and he couldn't do anything about it.

Based on this, you would order your list just on how you think qualifying will go.

However, this year they are mandating two pit stops, so strategy and mistakes are bound to shake up the order a little bit compared to last year. So maybe be more cautious about teams that tend to screw things up more than others.

Update your prediction lists now!

I wish they would add 2 more DRS zones, 1 going up the hill after turn 1, and another in the tunnel before the chicane. Soneone might actually be able to pass someone.

Newey is in Monaco for his first Aston Martin race trackside with his notebook. Can he perform a miracle and help get the Aston’s qualified higher?

It is hard to see, but the whole tunnel stretch is a turn until after they are back in the sunlight. DRS would probably kill someone or be so short they would be braking before they ever opened the wing.

Uphill after T1 isnt a bad idea.

All right, predictions for Monaco are now locked out! Good luck!

You can look at everyone's predictions here: dg42.net/TDF1/race-prediction.php

I love seeing how different everyone's list is from one another. Lately I've been fascinated to see where people place Albon and Sainz. Carlos has outqualified Alex in the last few races, but somehow the team keeps letting him down. In seven races, Sainz has finished ahead just once. Alex leads in points 40 - 11 because he has finished P5 three times and has scored points in six of seven races. But it feels like Sainz is going to start clawing his way back in this 2nd quarter of the season.

Practice sessions at Monaco are absolutely a nightmare. 70% of that track is essentially coming out of a corner blind, there are cars putzing around slow as frick all over the place, and its 2 car widths wide at best.

Hell of a ramp from Lewis there, did well to keep that out of the wall. Prolly still damaged the floor.
