Hawkeye system is down. Can’t play because they no longer have line judges at the US open

Looks like some kind of fire alarm went off in a adjacent building to the complex. They actually evacuated people.

Iga quickly took care of business. Time for Tommy P and Sinner.

Tommy got up two breaks and Sinner takes them right back. Off to bed.

Emma Navarro’s dad has a net worth of $1.5 billion, owns the tennis/concert stadium here, and just bought the last major developable piece of land in downtown Charleston.

Kind of wild that our two Americans left on the women’s side both have billionaire fathers.
Also, that missed second serve return at 4-5 in the tiebreaker was brutal.

Paul doesn’t quite have the game to hang with Sinner in a major. He had the momentum in the first set — was up a double break. If he holds on there this would have been more interesting. But from 4-1 in the first set Sinner started to find his game and Paul struggled to put pressure on Sinner’s service games, and the unforced errors started creeping in.

Badosa with a solid melt. One American in the semis

My goodness what a collapse by Badosa.

It was at least 5-2 Badosa, right?
ETA, on Talk Tennis, they said it was 5-1 and Badosa lost six games in 20 minutes.

Nice tiebreaker after he didn't cash triple set points.
