They need to get off so many street courses and go to big flat tracks… Michigan, Pocono… They currently go to 5 ovals out of 17 races. These cars are so bad arse at 225-240 mph.

7 of 17 races are on ovals.

Man, you gotta just feel for O’Ward. He was right there.

Also, anyone know why Herta went into the wall on lap 86? Unfortunately, I was in the car and could only listen to the race at they time.

it was a typical Herta brain fade… just lost the car exiting turn 1

he was flying on carb day.. i definitely thought he had a car to win

Colton needs to work on Racecraft and staying focused but i was pretty impressed how he moved through the field at the beginning of the race

also was very impressed by Sting Ray Robb today

That was a hell of a race, and a hell of a long day. We spent most of the day at the end of turn 1 watching all of the carnage, then got over to the finish line for the end. Lots of hooping and hollering. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want o'ward to take it, but I can't be mad at that move by Newgarden.

I was just out of turn 4. Today was a marathon. I think we entered the speedway at 7. Great race to cap it off

Yea, I'm wiped

Got up at 6 and left Airbnb in Broadripple to head to track around 7.

Went to friend of a friend of a friend's RV in Coke Lot to wait out the rain.

It was a marathon, but it was really fricking cool to see an evening 500...

If the World 600 would move their race to Monday, I think a 3:30-4 pm Indy 500 start time would be ideal

Need to Newgarden, Hearta, and other American Indy drivers at Daytona and other tracks too.

newgarden was decent in SRX

but i’d rather see him win Lemans than race in Daytona 500

The Coke 600 was called tonight before Larson ever got to run a single lap, so he didn’t get to actually do the double.

Hopefully he will want to try again soon.

Can't see him giving up now - Especially since top Indycar guys are making close to the amount top nascar guys are making- I think he would enjoy Indycar full time more

Given Indycar's 6 month off season and 17 race schedule he would have plenty of time to do sprint cars, Nascar early and late season and focus on becoming fluent in the Indycars to get that 500 win

Indycar has the best racing of all 3 (F1/Nascar/Indycar). But their season is too short. If they expanded the races it would pick up more viewers. And I think would draw more drivers. Its hard for Indycar to gain momentum when there are so many gaps in the schedule during the season.

Onto the streets of Detroit!

In 2023, Palou won from pole, leading 74 of the 100 laps in dominating fashion. Power finished second and Rosenqvist third. Palou, as did all of the top six, made it a two-stopper.

apparently the schedule is going to be greatly expanded in 2026

I can see them adding another super speedway and A race in Mexico City or Monterrey Mx

They need to hurry. They have a golden opportunity to grab Nascar fans if they add races. And cars can pass with PTP scheme. Also requiring 2 tire compounds works great.
