Ended up down a rabbit hole last night and watched a ton of Garage 56 videos. How long before all of the cars are setup like that and the majority of races are road courses?

McDowell wins the pole for tomorrow. His car was flying.

I think the driver with the most points on road/street courses should win a separate award. Call it the Dan Gurney Trophy,or the Mark Donahue trophy.

Pole sitter has won twice in the four races since the repave. The other two were William Byron.

I said before the season that if Chase doesn't start winning again soon into the season that Gustafson is gonna get shitcanned.

This ain't a good start.

The 41 truck in the truck series had a big chunk of his roof just blow off.

Xfinity race is awful. Single file for 99% of the race.

Qualifying means nothing at ATL. Three drivers who qualified inside the Top-10 finished 10th or better in the two races last year

Say what? You said Gus would be replaced in off season. And now Chase sits 4th in points after 1 race and you think he’s toast?

HMS does not make rash in season crew chief changes. Can’t recall the last time unless it was last 10 races or end of season.

First 2 races are all plate racing. Atlanta has been ruined and single car racing. Outside lane has big advantage. Due to grip levels the inside is no good with a rare exception.

The Xfinity race was horrible. All came down to fuel not racing. Nascar made last caution so long it hurt any chance for 2 car. At same time the 2 should have pitted at first chance and would have been in top 6 with best car and best gas situation to go full throttle. Especially when other cars ran out plus as leader he can’t save as much. Bad decision by CC.

Love clearly had the best car all night but the local boy, Hill, wins again. I think he did the right thing by staying out. Austin had as many laps before pitting that Love did he had just a little bit more in the tank. Can’t fault Love for staying out and trying to finish it.

Agreed it wasn’t that fun of a race. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Usually when the Xfinity race sucks the Cup race is good. Hopefully that holds today.

I wouldn’t attend even with free tix.
Race has never been that compelling even before rework to fight the traffic home.

Looks like a great weather day though.
60 and sunny at green flag. More importantly for fans, not windy.

I will forever say that nascar is rolling the dice by having a race here in February.
