Is there a site that shows total points standings for the season? I’m curious what it would look like going into the last race and where the final 4 would be in the standings.

Carl Edwards was right.

Ahh, so we would have had the points lead swap in the penultimate race and go into the finale with a 13 point gap at the top. Sounds boring, I can see why they got rid of that.

That chart shows the title last race would be between Elliott and Bell. Most popular driver vs young up and comer. Chevy vs Toyota. That would be way more compelling than this fake circus show we have right now.

I hope you are joking. Don’t know you enough to tell.

I am an ardent playoff hater.

If they insist on these playoffs then have your final four drivers compete on each of the four style of tracks over the last four races and the most points is your champ.

3 race final playoffs. Homestead, Martinsville, and a rotating track (no super speedways).
Absolutely zero reason to include a super speedway in the finals.

Talladega, Homestead, Martinsville, and a rotating finale. One thing is for sure, PHX needs to go.

NAsCAR needs to get rid of stages and shorten the playoff.
If it’s four races I’d go road course, 1.5, short track and superspeedway. Alternate the playoff tracks every other year. Spread the playoffs around the country instead of the same four tracks.
Top 12 qualify (no win and your in, actual points standings), no eliminations.

Playoffs are awful, agreed.
And great user name.

But in car racing the tracks are all different and every team has good and bad tracks. So having a final on one track favors certain teams.
The only reason Jimmie Johnson won so many titles.
In no world are his titles comparable to Dale's or even Pettys

Huge fines for the 1, 3, and 23 teams for race manipulation.

So, Bell gets a position penalty. These guys get team penalties.
If they had all been DQ would Bell moved up enough to get in?
NASCAR suspends Trackhouse's Tony Lunders, 1 crew chief Phi Surgen and spotter Brandon McReynolds, RCR's Keith Rodden, 3 crew chief Justin Alexander and spotter Brandon Benesch, 23XI's Dave Rogers, 23 spotter Freddie Kraft; one race each. Also $100k fine, loss of 50 pts each team
