Wow I wasn't expecting Alpine to look that bad.
Also, I think I was expecting a bit more from McLaren.
VCARB is about where we expected them to be.

FIA did Andretti a favor by not letting them become a Renault customer

I don't watch f1 to listen to Danica Patrick talk about stuff she doesn't know.
Even the wife they could have done without her.

Funny that Santa asked the kids if Horner had been good that year.

At least Haas will have another fun first few weeks of the season before the development falls off....right?
Right?
Right?

He won't. He is the literal definition of daddy buying you a seat.

Doesn’t he already have some podiums?

Didn’t realize the race was on Saturday, thanks for the heads up.

I would love for Haas to get better. Its hard due to how more money is given to higher finishing teams. So they have a big hill to climb.
I felt all parts of Haas were underfunded. Tactics were horrible too.
Can the new person get more out of the car and people? No idea, but I hope Haas realized he needs to contribute more dollars to get better results. I think last year they went for higher qualifying results and not race results. Many adjustments can be made to flip that.

I don’t know if fightin is up to tracking it this year.

The biggest problem holding Haas back has been removed.
I think they will improve this year.
On DTS they have Steiner calling up Gene and saying (once again) "We look like a bunch of fricking wankers." and Gene replied "It'll be the same shite next year."
Tells me Gene was tired of looking like a wanker and there was no more "we" for Steiner from that point.
The team meeting going over some aero improvements and frickstick howling about it being a minor gain was telling as well. The guy is clueless.

The team boss believes that Haas has a chance in the bottom of the table. There will be a fight for positions with some teams. He doesn't want to reveal how many there are. Just this much: "Last year we knew on Saturday evening that we would be going backwards on Sundays. Now we have a platform that gives us hope in the race too."
If they can regain/maintain their qualifying ability they can do well. The numbers I saw for tire deg are very good. Much better than a few of the teams considered to be in the upper half of the field.
