George still under investigation?

Dude might spray champagne and lose his podium

Doesn't help George and his teammate finished ahead of the guy he turned into.

VCARB had dreams of passing Aston Martin in the WCC, but AM just had a good dual finish and now they have increased their gap by 10 points to VCARB. AM now leads them by 30 points, 58-28.

Yuki had an eight point gap to Stroll, but now it's just two points. Danny has shot up from P14 to P12 in the WDC.

P9 Alonso 41
P10 Tsunoda 19
P11 Stroll 17
P12 Ricciardo 9

Max master class today. Merc and McLaren both had better cars.

George and Oscar have been summoned concerning their contact.

Checo has been summoned for driving an unsafe car around the track.

Yuki has been summoned for being late to the anthem.

I'm going to watch KMag's in car cam for the first 8 laps.

The charge from 14th to fourth had to be fun.

I think George will lose P1 by the third turn but I also think he will be in the 2-4 mix all day.

Okay, maybe lap 3, but he did stay in the mix and had a nice retake on Hammy at the end. I guess there are no team orders because they know he's leaving next year.

Great race and fantastic experience! Have tons of photos and videos. I was so close to Horner at the podium that I could have flicked him in the ear.

Hope something cool comes out of this weekend for yall that made the trip. Also hope Ferrari gets solid/better points than Red Bull to keep that progressing.

So much for that.
I couldn’t hear the race but watched most of it at the pool.
No clue why Ferrari had such a shite weekend besides seeing leclerc had some weird engine problem and they stuck him on slicks in the rain.
How did Haas have such a brilliant idea to start on wets but not gain anything from it?
Why is Max so damn good on restarts? All of the other drivers should be ashamed by their inability to keep anywhere close to him after a restart.

Wife and I want to try to make this race next year. Besides the always rainy weather, is there any reason we couldn’t make the trip with our 4 year old by then? We did COTA last year with him as a 2 year old and he was a trooper.

So many kids this year and they do great.

I will say, do not do GA. You will not see anything. Stay close to the metro and your weekend transportation is $22/person. You can bring in whatever food and non-alcohol you want. Roundtrip (direct from MSY) was about $500, but booked on points was super cheap.

Wow, you're right there with the official photographers! That looks so fun.

And amazing view above the pits in the other video.

What kind of pass did you have to get such great access?

They stayed on them too long.

It was a gamble, not a brilliant strategy. The only way it was going to work was if, after a few laps, after Hulk and KMag have made their way up (but before the full wets became a liability), something occurred that required everyone to pit at the same time:

1. A red flag.
2. The track dried enough for everyone to need to switch to slicks.
3. Worse conditions that caused everyone on inters to need to switch to full wets.

But the conditions progressed basically as predicted, so the gamble didn't pay off. Given the situation I thought it was worth the risk.

So after the Canadian Grand Prix:

In the WCC, the only change is that Alpine has swapped with Williams again, and is now threatening Haas in the order: P7 Haas 7 pts, P8 Alpine 5 pts, P9 Williams 2 pts. As a whole, the midfield is a little disappointing this year because VCARB is the only team accumulating points on a regular basis.

In the WDC, the only movement is Danny Ric moving up two spots to P12 (Bearman and Hulk moved down one each), and Gasly has moving up three spots to P15 (Albon, Ocon, KMag moved down one each).

In the prediction rankings, sorantable's reign at the top was short-lived, as he plunged from P1 to P6. MikeD is continuing to plunge as well, from P4 to P10. Basically those who thought Alpine were a lost cause this season are paying the price now for their shortsightedness.

VABuckeye is at the top of the rankings now, pulling up Pitt Road and pweezy with him.

The Average prediction has risen yet another spot to the 2nd highest score. The collective wisdom of this group is good!

Absolutely.

The likelihood of a red flag in wet conditions was pretty high. Was worth the gamble and frankly had they not fuct KMag's stop he may have ended up in the points. He would have rejoined in the top ten.
