I think lando was .017 off from getting DRS on the last lap. So close

That dope Perez is no longer P2 in the WDC, which is where he needs to be. Lando will soon pass him. It's hard to imagine him finishing higher than P4. Checo gone.
1. Max 161 pts
2, Leclerc 113 pts
3. Perez 107 pts
4. Lando 101 pts
5. Sainz 93 pts
6. Piastri 53 pts

Who won driver of the day? Gotta be Max IMO.

McLaren is Legit. Miami wasnt a fluke. If Piastri didn’t get the penalty would have been a double podium.
If Lando keeps this up and Max has another retirement the drivers standings could get very interesting. Or if Lando goes on a tear and wins 12 out of the next 15 races he could be ahead on points going into Abu Dhabi not figuring in potential sprint finishes.

Obviously still like Max for drivers but constructors could be wide open. Only reason it wasn’t last year was because nobody was consistent behind RB. Seems like two other teams have their act together this year.

Wrong track to talk about crashes. Two tragedies there in one weekend in 1994.

Better not say anything about crashes at most every track other than the new ones or are pre-1994/non-Senna deaths ok?
The worship of Senna is over the top...
*I was watching back then. He was good but was also an a-hole who would be instantly cancelled today for his 15 year old girlfriend. His elevation to immortal status by so many is laughable.

That race at least had something on it at the end, Lando was pushing Red Bull

Yeah, it was fun race. Especially for Imola.

Need to tell the announcers that, all they preached before the race was "there will 100% be a safety car". That's what I was talking about. Why not just widen the track so the cars can pass?

I was wondering why the front straight wasn't adequate for easier DRS passes. I think it was on the broadcast that someone said that the reason is that Rivazza corners are too fast, it makes it more difficult for a following car to set up for a DRS pass along the straight. So reconfiguring those corners may make the set-up easier. I don't know that they'd be willing to make more changes to the track though.

I think the new.2026 cars are supposed to be smaller, but I'm not sure. That should help I would think, get rid of these suburbans.

Such a bad take.
