Was scrolling through a good pics thread on Talk Tennis. JJ is turning into a lesbian. I don't understand how some of these baws play with chains.

Just flocking wit ya.

Men’s Tennis must be in its most boring era right now. Novak will mostly likely beat somebody in the final 3-0 who most people have never heard of.
You heard it here first zzzzz
Doubtful

Yeah Wolf is giving me Coco Vandeweghe vibes there.
That Rublev photo is so perfect.

I remember seeing her last year and was shocked at her appearance.

16 year old prodigy Mirra Andreeva slaughtered 6 seed Ons Jabroni. 6-0, 6-2.
Crazy how these young WTA players can often hold their own with veterans.

Tiafoe still a clown. Down in straights.

Her points history/rise is wild. She is only 16 and has wins in her first 4 majors. The first two of which she went through quallifying to get to the main draw. Was ranked 342 a year ago.

Things almost got interesting for Djokovic last night.
Popyrin had break/set points at 0-40 in the 3rd set to go up 2 sets to 1. But couldn't capitalize. Djokovic cruised through the TB and 4th sets.
Seems like 3rd round is where Djokovic really turns it on. Sucks for his next opponent Etcheverry.
Shelton is in a good spot. After a slow start vs RBA, he's rolling. Now he has Mannarino who is probably going to run out of gas after back to back 5-setters.
Eta: Korda/Rublev in R3 should be good if Korda can keep his play up.

I see we’re still doing the “blank” flag for Russian players, the new scarlet letter. It’s probably the most identifiable “flag” on the tour. I guess the days of watching sports without a political message are done.
Did you expect them to walk back their flag policy considering nothing has changed since they made it?
Eta: That's all I'll say about it. I'd rather keep the thread be about the tennis and GOAT Novak Djokovic.

Speaking of Djokovic. Seems like the wrist is bothering him a little more than expected.

Collins gonna take out Iga?
Posted on 1/17/24 at 9:59 pm to KamaCausey_LSU
Upsets brewing in the rain delayed early session tonight.
Lehecka (32) down 2-1 to Michelsen
Zverev (6) just pulled out the 4th set TB. Headed to a 5th set vs World #163 Lukas Klein
Norrie (19) down 2-1 to #133 Zeppieri.
Ruud (11) down a break in the 4th about to get pushed to 5 vs Max Purcell.

Pretty ballsy hold from her to consolidate the break.

The frick was that service game from Collins?
Hell of a way to give all the momentum back to Iga when you're up 4-1

I'm stuck watching Ruud.
Probably nerves/emotion like most women's matches.
