I gotta give Webb credit, he is a terminator out there.

What a day. We got there around noon and started walking over to Live! to go eat before we hit the pits, only to find that Live! was completely closed for a private event…and my 4 yr. old grandson trips and knocks his front teeth out and busted his lip. Eventually we were able to track down some gauze to slow the bleeding and he toughed it out for most of the day & night.
After hitting the pits we headed inside to catch the second rounds of qualifying then grabbed some food. We’re at a table in the club area eating, and my daughter in law spots Haiden Deegan’s mom walking by, along with dad Brian Deegan. The grandkids got his autograph, and I happened to have my Danger 238 shirt on so I got that signed by Brian too.
Then the kids walked back over to the pits and happened to spot Jett Lawrence hanging around. I had bought my grandson a Jettson donut shirt, so Jett walked over to sign his shirt and only his - he left a whole gang of other kids hanging.
Phenomenal racing tonight. I normally hate the triple crown format but tonight was some great action. Solid rides by Dangerboy after a rough start. Incredible ride by Hunter after his first turn crash. Amazingly fast ride by Wrexton after a bad start in the first race. Crazy finish in the final 450 race. Hated to see Chase lose another one.
Oh…and frick Cooper Webb.

I’m not a fan but Cooper is that dude. Like a grim reaper just over your shoulder, close enough you can feel the sickle on your neck hair.

Yeah, he does have that expertise in racecraft as opposed to just raw speed. And all when things are right with him, if he’s lurking you better be worried. And not worried like if Barcia is behind you. He’s going to find that extra gear when he needs it.

McGrath was on the last Bubbas World podcast. This episode was a damned good listen. James and MC said…
Anderson was the most dominant main winner of the 3.
The new Yamaha looks sketchy when the track breaks down or gets slippery.
The Kawi looks the most reliable in those same conditions.
Mixed bag of Eli this year; beast, maintenance, and weirdo.
Chase is losing confidence, “riding the race behind him instead of the one in front of him” “needs to chase the rabbit and not the other dogs”
Cooper is Eli’s kyptonite.
Eli still has the momentum.
AC9 should be back for Daytona.
Bam Bam is having a better year than expected.

Meh. They need to go back to tracks that aren't perfectly groomed.

Lol, you serious Mutley?

Hombre can’t stop stepping on his own dick. We could have an unprecedented 4 way fight for the strap because he’s got the speed. Love watching that dude ride, he’s got a style that’s loose and smooth.
If I had to bet money right now, today. Chase takes this, speed kills. Maybe himself, we’ll see

It looks like four riders can win it…
El Hombre - so fast when he is on, love to watch him when it is working, but he has too many nights where he cannot keep it together (plus, Barcia, they will get into it at one race and then even if Jason gets the upper hand the penalties will wipe him out) he is the least likely to win it all
Sexton - he is faster than all of them, but he cannot seem to avoid the mistakes, plus the pressure is growing every time he throws away race wins, most likely to end up third
Eli - the vet, he is my favorite but age comes for us all, want him to win it and he has flashes of that dominance that is so incredible to see, but more mistakes are creeping in…Likely second place
Cooper - he is a sneering punk, but he is tougher than a two dollar steak, and things just seem to be setting up for him, the other riders’ weaknesses play into his strengths, the way things look now he is most likely to win…..

If the Daytona podium goes…
1 - Chase
2 - Webb
3 - Eli
We will have 3 red plates.

That would be cool and bad news for Webb and Tomac. Tightest 3 man fight after 7 races in history gets tighter

If Sexton doesn’t get a win by Glendale he is gonna pull a Bradshaw on this season.
Posted on 3/4/23 at 10:48 am to olemc999
Lotta similarities between Sexton and Bradshaw. Fast as shite but can’t keep from going wheels up. Damon had the habit of wadding himself up in a bad way and finishing way back and Chase is still getting podiums. I think Chase is mentally stronger than Damon ever was

It’s nice seeing Thrasher this competitive so far.

RJ Hampshire wins his first ever 450 heat race.

She it. Big boy trapped with small boy toys? Early to say but that was a solid ride

Rooster, are you out of Prairieville?

It will be interesting to see if he finishes ahead of Justin Cooper in the main.

I’m thinking about making some “I survived a tuff block” shirts and selling them in the parking lot.
