It's being reported that a 2023 5 * recruit has signed an $8.0 mil NIL deal. Tell me again why we are firing Wade? I am talking in general about money being paid to players. Don't give me the "he paid out of his own account " BS. It is extremely hypocritical to go through this charade right now at this time. We all know it and Bill Self still got a lifetime contract.

He signed the deal but hasn’t picked a school yet. It’s being offered out of high school before he even gets his official visits in. Idk that they even released the kids name

Just because it becomes legalized does not free all of the imprisoned pot smugglers.

Over time and as NIL becomes the norm, we will look back and scratch our heads.

What Will Wade did isn’t legal under any interpretation of NIL nor was NIL legal when he did it

There are a lot of really admirable lawyers (I know that sounds like an oxymoron) trying to do just that.

So what? Now that it’s legal he could’ve just had Gordon or someone make his strong arse offers. It’s pathetic

This is true, which is why it will be a head scratcher soon.

Exactly why LSU should have stood with Wade. In the future Wade will do like Kelly and just pay Gordon for legal consultation then Gordon will pay the recruits to sign a few balls.

When Wade did his shtick…NIL wasn’t a thing. Get over it. Got caught and busted and fired. Be better and that wouldn’t have happened

What wade did is still illegal under the current rules. ANd he did it stupidly.

There is plenty of hypocrisy in college athletics but this isn't it.

Well NIL wasn’t around when Wade did what he did….if it were all this would have been 100% legal.

The level of naivety is amazing to me.

Nil is legal.
Paying a kid under the table to get him to come play for you is against the rules

Dislike the rules all you want but we live in a world of rules which allows for an orderly living environment.

And just because nil is legal does not mean that kids won’t still be paid under the table to go play for a school! The financial bar just got raised. Illegal payments are still going to happen

And from what I read and what about Will wade, he will continue to pay kids Under the table to come play for him.
