This is amazing theater. Holger had to tap into his inner Medvedev there to fight off Sinner and the crowd to win the 2nd set.

Guess this explains the crowd lol

Holger Rune into his 2nd career Masters 1000 Final, at only 19 years old. Insane the talent level of this new generation of players.

I saw on Draftkings that he and Sinner each dropped from 14-1 to 11-1 to win RG in the last couple of days.

Rune up a set now. Rublev going to go crazy or if he comes back Rune going to go crazy. Should be fun to watch the rest of this match. Rublev still does not have a masters 1000 and Rune got one last year.

Rune's level def dropped quite a bit from last night, but Rublev hasn't been able to take advantage. Can't find a first serve and the rest of his game is too basic.

Andrey is hanging around somehow.

And we have a match again.

Holger melting and egging on the crowd.

It's weird how he fed off the crowd that was against him last night but today he needed to beg his team for motivation.
Guess Rublev deserves a Masters title.

Andrey wore him down.
Christopher Eubanks said something yesterday that I don't necessarily agree with, but did sort of crystallize what I have been thinking the last couple of years. He said no teenager will ever win a major again as the sport is too physical and their bodies aren't developed enough for them. I think it's also about not playing matches that long in juniors and learning how to manage best of five over two weeks. He is on to something.
So, we have like 6-8 guys who can RG for the first time in forever. That is exciting.

Didn't a teenager just win the US Open and now he's the favorite for the French?
Just noticed his birthday is May 5 so scratch that.

I guess if you think about it, this crop of guys in the 19-21 age range are so good already that any younger kids will have a tough time beating them for the next 10-15 years. So maybe it's not all that bold of a take. And who knows... maybe some Kyrgios clone with a brain will come along and dominate Wimbledon from the jump.

There are others in the pipeline but I don’t see one guy being able to do it all on every surface all the time anymore. To many great players coming into their own. Barcelona should be great to watch. No Nadal again but alcaraz will be back. These guys may have worn themselves out a bit for next week. Look for some upsets and alcaraz to win it.

Jack Draper (21) will be a threat on grass going forward, especially in normal tournaments. Doesn't have near the fitness/endurance to take Wimbledon but I think he has the tools (serve and forehand) to beat anybody on grass in a best of 3.

Interesting when looking at the upcoming g weeks matches. I did not realize there were three different r men’s tournaments going on. The top players a scattered a few at each.

Yep. Lots of action across Europe. Would think the top players would be concentrated in Barcelona since it's a 500. But you've got Djokovic and Rublev in Banja Luka (temporary replacement for Serbian Open due to renovations); and Rune, Fritz, and Zverev in Munich.
Eta: Jiri Lehecka +1400 ($5 to win $70) to win Banja Luka is my favorite future bet this week. I think he can beat current Djokovic on clay and Rublev will probably run out of steam after winning Monte Carlo.
Also parlayed that with Tiafoe +4000 (Barcelona) and added on a DK boost for a +76750 parlay, lol. $2 to pay $1537.
Other not-BS bets for Barcelona I have are
$2 Jarry +6600
$2.5 Tiafoe +4000 (Top half lotto)
$4 Musetti +2500
$5 Tsitsipas +800 (very good value here, should be a heavy favorite in every match except maybe Alcatraz or Sinner)
Feeling cocky after cashing a Rublev +3300 last week. (Not a genius, just picked him because of the weak quarter of his draw in Monte Carlo).
Hooray for lotto futures.
