You squeaked through on this one. I turned it on to watch a few points before going to work and the very first thing I saw is Sinner had fended off a match point. I figured Sinner would roll after winning the breaker. I don't really understand how Hurkacz is any good. He is basically a pusher that doesn't return or move very well. His serve is pretty good, I guess.

Didn’t win anything but I’ll take the moral victory.

Think I found MV’s new fav player when Rafa retires…

So.... I think Tsitsipas is healthy again.

Also saw that Berrittini withdrew instead of getting embarrassed by Rune again.

Eta: I'm not saying his injury is fake. But, it was his birthday yesterday and I think his girlfriend likes to party.

Who's this Musetti guy that just took out Novak?

Musetti takes down Djoker. I almost bit on Djoker +300 when Musetti was serving at 5-4. I wonder what it got to at 40-15. Novak fought those off and then had a break point of his own before losing.

He is a nasty little f'er on clay. He had Djoker down two sets at RG two years ago, then ran out of gas. He also double bageled another paesano the other day.

Still plenty of time and I'm sure he'll have a different focus level in June, but this is yet another reason I prefer the animal for RG.

Guess we can't completely sleep on Zverev for RG either

This match is actually really good. Surprised at Medvedev's improvement on clay.

Agreed. He is using the droppa well, too. The place is dead for 10:00 pm. I wonder if everyone goes to party or it's a bunch of geezers who went to bed.

Wonder how much of the population is just rich athletes.

It does have a Roland Garros Covid-y feel to it.

Zverev clutches up with some big returns to get up 5-4 and serve for the match then goes into pussy mode again.

Fritz for RG?

Looking forward to Rune and Meddy here.

Relatively routine for Rune. Meddy was probably a little tired. Fritz said the main court is playing more "true" than the others, which I took to mean faster. So, maybe we shouldn't put too much into the results here.

I am seeing Rafa is out for Barcelona. Madrid is not a great warmup due to the slight altitude/quick conditions, so he is pretty much putting all his prep into Rome.

I am starting to think about putting a chunk on Sinner and Rune for RG.

Interesting. Could also mean better maintained maybe, so there are less bad bounces. With the way some of these guys hit the ball these days, it would have to be actual mud to slow their shots down.

Rune is becoming an Alcaraz clone. Probably the best value for RG.

Incredible match. Both semis are good.

Alex was crying that Med is unfair and pulled some unsportsmanlike thing going to the bathroom. It seemed weird to me, I don't think taking a minute to piss is a big deal.

Unless there was a 2nd instance, it was nothing at all. He ran to the pisser during a changeover and made it back in time.

Yeah, late in the match piss. It was nothing.

The 10 minute Shitpants break is another matter.

Can’t say I saw Rublev breaking Fritz 7 times in 2.5 sets
