While I hope Elliott finishes last every week, after watching my favorite driver die on live TV, I'd never hope an athlete gets injured.
I was in the snowsports industry for a long time I'm surprised that HMS let Chase participate in such activities. 25+ years ago when I lived in Western NC, I had a lesson with 3 nice ladies from Atlanta on a "girl's weekend". Long story short, they were all wives of players from the Braves. When I asked them if their husband's were skiing, they all said their contracts with the team prohibited it.
Get well soon young man. I'd much rather see you get your butt kicked in race than not be in it at all...
Oh, and Snowboarders suck....

Whose wives were they? Or did you ask?
Posted on 3/4/23 at 7:51 am to SteelerBravesDawg
Glavin & Smoltz. I don't remember the 3rd.
The conversation started when 1 of them took off their glove and had 1 of the biggest rocks I'd seen at that point.
"So what does your husband do? "
"He plays baseball. "
"Oh cool. Who does he play for?"
"The Braves. His name is Tom Glavin. Ever heard of him?"
I about fell out of the lift chair.

Anyone catching the truck series race tonight? Rowdy was flying again in qualifying.
I didn’t see much, but Rowdy got the win. Big deal for KBM since they changed manufacturers and lost Gibbs support. Great week for Kyle, overall.

Kyle has started the year off on fire. If not for that late race caution, he would have won all 3 races he started this year

That was Glavine 's first wife.

Yeah that was his 1st wife.
He's been married to his 2nd and current wife for a minute.

I’ve never been impressed with Kyle, Harvick, Edwards etc getting truck and Xfinity wins.
Not impressed when UGA, LSU or Bama beat the McNeese States and Savannah States of the world either.

Chase has a fractured Tibia. Has a 3 hr.surgery last night. No timetable on his return though during the presser today they hinted "several weeks."

My wife broke her fibula before Christmas. She's still in a boot. He's looking at 6-8 weeks.

Yeah, he'll be out for awhile. Dumb decision to go snowboarding DURING the season.

Eh. I disagree.
And so does Kevin Harvick.

Harvick takes up for Chase.

Jeff Andrews from Hendrick Motorsports says Chase Elliott had a successful three-hour surgery for a fractured left tibia.
No timeline for his return.
Jeff Andrews says that Elliott was an experienced snowboarder and "it was an accident. ... Our guys have to go out and live their life."
Hendrick has applied for a waiver for Elliott to remain eligible for the playoffs.

I hope he got a huge pay increase. Busch wins in his old car and RCR wins Xfinity race. He was in a perfect spot to do well going forward but threw it away to make more money. RCR ended up getting better deal and has a real chance of winning title.
Tyler Reddick's team is changing the engine on the No. 45 Toyota and won't make it out for practice and qualifying today. Reddick will start from the rear tomorrow.
