Clash main event will have 27 cars. Top five from each of four nine-car heats (25 laps each heat), then top-three from each of the two 50-lap last-chance qualifiers and one points provisional. Main event 150 laps. Only green-flag laps count in all heats/LCQ/main event.

Remember when Bubba assaulted Larson after intentionally wrecking him at high speed?

NASCAR has increased the potential penalties for damaging another vehicle on pit road and also for altercations.

Don’t like the penalty for fighting. If anything, they should treat fights between drivers like the NBA does with fights.

If you leave the bench during a NBA fight, you are fined and suspended.

NASCAR should have something similar to anyone crew member that joins in a driver fight. It’s an automatic suspension.

I want to see the drivers fight each other without the crews jumping in the middle of it.

Also, I wonder what or who caused this rule to be added:

Member actions that could result in a fine and/or indefinite suspension, or terminationmembership revocation:
Selling NASCAR Single Event Credentials (VIP Passes, Essential Worker Passes, etc.).

Should treat it like hockey, Five minute penalty equals five lap penalty at the next race.

More on rules changes:

——-

Crew chiefs will no longer be suspended for loose wheels.

Loose wheels that occur on track will result in a two-lap penalty and a two-race suspension for two crew members.

Loose wheels that occur on pit road: to the rear (under yellow) or pass-thru (under green)

——

Drivers must no longer finish in the top 30 to be playoff eligible in the Cup Series, top 20 in the Xfinity and Truck Series.

Any driver that misses a race must still receive a waiver for playoff eligibility

——-

NASCAR’s DVP clock will be increased from six to seven minutes

——-

Choose Rule will now be used at superspeedways and dirt races

——-

Restart Zone will increase as an experiment for the first five races of the season and will be re-evaluated following the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Someone at Nascar finally grew a brain

And then they lost it again

Agree.
The on track penalty is good enough. Suspensions are stupid.

And Denny's response to the media vultures:

quote:

Denny Hamlin

@dennyhamlin

For some of the media who don’t catch this drift, It means don’t ask the kid anymore questions about it.

Like Denny or not, he's 100% right here. Let the kid grieve for Christ sake.

He'll beat it.

I still remember him bawling like a baby when Harvick won at Atlanta in '01 in the 29. We were all crying.

And anyone who downvotes a post about someone fighting cancer can EAD. Karma is a bitch.

Villenueve announced that Hezeberg is done fielding a cup team. Kinda sucks. But the Charter system discourages new teams.

He’s pretty right on a lot of things.
He’s one of the few who doesn’t parrot the company line.

Hate to hear that. Love listening to Chocolate talk NASCAR. Saying a prayer for him and his family.

Here’s a picture of him hugging Dale Jr. after Jr. won the 2001 Pepsi 400.

Watching Junior win that night will always make me misty-eyed.

Divine intervention was in play that night.
