Commercials during the wreck, come back and show what caused wreck, commercials, come back and show pit stops, commercials.

Every year I think that they can’t possibly run more and yet they do.

Johnson got a penalty for speeding on pit road. Getting this info from Twitter where there aren’t commercials preventing me from seeing the content.

OK, question: How much would folks pay to get the race on pay-per-view sans commercials?

I would for at least the Daytona and Talladega races.

Fox must have told NASCAR and the speedway, “We need this number in ad revenue, non-negotiable,” and is stuffing in however many ads are required to hit that number.

I'm not paying shite to have 1/4 of my TV screen to have a race on like it is right now. You got a 3rd showing the lineup and the rest is a bunch of blue with some bull shite stars or something

Probably so, and because NASCAR doesn’t generate the viewership it used to, they don’t really have an option but to accept it if they want to keep the big TV contracts.

Fox and NBC are paying a combined $820 million to televise Nascar.

The $820 million number is non-negotiable, as far as Nascar is concerned, through 2024.

With viewership down from 2015 when the contract was signed, and this being the most viewed Nascar race of the year, Fox needs to make hay when they can.

And if the commercials aren’t bad enough, don’t forget that FOX won’t even show victory lane. We get the start/finish line interview instead.

Welcome to NASCAR on fox. Here's the green flag, and now to commercial. We'll be back in 3.5 hours for the white flag lap....
