Nice. Really happy for Buescher and RFK. SHR had an impressive day, too.
That was a quiet top 5 for Logano. I noticed on the NASCAR app he was putting down some quick lap times in stage 2, but I didn't ever think he was going to get that far up the field.

Nice win for Buescher. Good to see him and RFK win.

Joey with a subtle Days Of Thunder reference in that interview.

Thoughts:
Another race Nascar has ruined. Pretty mundane and what happened to the night race? Cars are too equal and drivers afraid to push too much.
I said it before but earlier this year Nascar kept taking HMS cars to tear down and now Toyotas and Fords are dominating. Someone leaked out info imo, because its not just one team doing better its all Toyotas and Fords. They all got better around same time. Feels like Nascar is going WWE.
And the late race yellows are suspect. About every race now we’re seeing a late caution. Are they paid for this? Seems Nascar likes it. Heck, why not schedule a yellow with 10-15 to go and be done with hiding it.
Here’s the points. Chase is 40 out with 4 races to go. Has has passed 13 cars that have more races than him. That suspension race cost him bigtime (Hamlin again). Amazing how many spots he’s picked up.

This is what Nascar needs for situations like Logano had last week:
But did you know Nascar doesn’t hire tow trucks the tracks do. Its an employment issue.

I'm still dumbstruck that he's going to miss the playoffs. Just a weird year for him.

Take out the races he missed and the one he was suspended for, his numbers are not bad but it will make you scratch your head.
15 Races
-8 top 10’s
-5 top 5’s
-2 DNF -Outside of the 2 DNF, he only finished outside of the top 15 twice.
-Only lead 38 laps so far.
- Avg start is 18.8. Has only qualified in the top 10 3 times.
Something is not gelling with this team this year. Even if he didn’t miss any races, I still don’t think he would have a win up to this point.

They aren’t running good relative to their standard. Besides only leading 38 laps in 15 races, he has a single playoff point at this point. That’s crazy

Its the missed races that put him behind. These cars are all so fine tuned it takes time to do that and his early season misses hurt. Then he was doing well and Denny cost him that race (wrecked) but had to sit another one which hurt even more.
He can make it on points maybe. Will be close. But he’s not running well enough to go anywhere. Was better yesterday then faded to 13. I think he’ll do well in road races left but not win them, his car is still off.
On top of that it seems something is fishy with other 2 makes making such a leap so quickly. That doesn’t happen overnight yet it has. I suspect (no proof) someone leaked out info from early season teardowns. Notice they are not doing them as much now. And if its someone inside the tear down shop Nascar won’t publicize it else it ruins the supposed confidentiality of tear down process. Its the perfect way for Nascar to leak things to underperforming teams and would only take one person of the several involved.
Imagine if F1 took 2 cars at random amd shipped them to a shop and tore them down. Then that season other makes get better all at once. With as much money involved in winning its not such a stretch. And if Nascar found out they can’t say anything or all integrity is lost.

I like how that is what you take from them falling off after getting repeatedly pulled to inspection and not that they were doing something they weren't supposed to be doing and got told to stop

Look at who is below him, is it really that amazing?

And that's the kicker. He has traditionally been a very good qualifier so that says that they are lacking speed off of the truck.

You are confusing HMS with all Chevy teams. Rowdy and his team have dropped. Chastain has dropped. All Chevy teams have dropped compared to early season. Toyota and Ford were crap early season. Now it seems all those teams have jumped.
It could just be all Toyota and Ford teams have outworked all Chevy teams. Yup

What are talking about? Other New Hampshire and Pocono, he has finished no worse than 9th since the Coke 600.
Do you even watch the races or just look at the standing and read race summaries?

Not on a top tier team and has never been accused of being consistent anyway

If you watched races you would know he wasn’t running great in all those races. The endings have helped some drivers move up in races due to carnage. He was running way better early season. My point is the jump in other makes and the drop overall for Chevy is suspect.

Not going down that rabbit hole with you. I said Chevy teams as a whole and that doesn’t mean there won’t be outliers. You tried to change it to one driver and missed the whole point. Nice try though.
