Two NASCAR Cup Series teams – the No. 45 Toyota for Tyler Reddick and the No. 54 Camry of rookie Ty Gibbs – failed pre-race inspection twice Friday at Darlington Raceway. Both teams lost pit-stall selection for Sunday’s Goodyear 400 (3 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) and had a crew member ejected.

In the case of the 23XI Racing No. 45 team, NASCAR officials opted to bar crew chief Billy Scott for the remainder of the race weekend. Veteran Dave Rogers — 23XI’s performance director — was listed as the interim crew chief for Reddick on an updated Cup Series entry list Friday evening.

Awesome finish in Xfinity, hate that Fox had no post race show.

Great finish. The way Larson and Nemechek were banging down the stretch, I was halfway expecting both to wreck out and Allgaier to steal the win.

Yeah, Fox’s coverage is not what it once was. We don’t see victory lane anymore and get very little (and sometimes zero) post-race.

They should at least put some post-race stuff on MAVTV these days like they used to with SPEED. NASCAR already promotes their show with Jerry Punch's daughter in their weekly schedules.

You'd think it'd be an easy negotiation since FOX seems intent on not showing anything and MAVTV likely needs more viewers.

As far as 45 car, a small points penalty is quite possible Tuesday. Neither team nor NASCAR would confirm garage speculation that they removed or adjusted weight after going thru tech. Dave Rogers is crew chief for ejected Billy Scott. Rogers replaced a fabricator on team roster.

Related to Larson wreck a few weeks ago:

NASCAR sent emails to teams Friday detailing expected changes to the chassis on passenger side that will be implemented starting with Charlotte in couple of weeks. The changes include the additions of some gusset plates, which would make the connection areas of the bars stronger.

What is so ironic is how far left Nascar moved over past few decades. And yet they do this throwback week which honors their past and is a huge hit. Can’t they see this double standard? And if they catered to their core fans that then engages those fans who talk about it around other less engaged folks who then want to check it out. Instead they offend core fans all year long then throw them a bone with throwback week.

Its amazing to me. I love seeing and hearing all the old racers and their stories. The old paint schemes. Having them in booth. But in the near future they’ll go to Chicago streets and cater to non Nascar fans and use mufflers on race cars (lol) and bring in wokesters. Its like Nascar doesn’t know who or what they wanna be and is why its waning. They can’t be everything to everyone. Stick with your roots and it will resonate.

The blue, white and red paint scheme Logano's running was my favorite when Bobby Allison had it when I was a kid.

What does NASCAR have planned for the fans during the first break / drivers nap time after stage one? Maybe Drag Queen story time?

Lol it’s so absurd how they take breaks in NASCAR these days. Pathetic.

Love Harrison Burton driving his dad's throwback. I loved that scheme back when he was in the 99.
