He speaks truth. Again, Bubba did what he needed and had to do and Blaney did what he needed and had to do. Plate racing sucks but you have to operate within its parameters as you find them, not as you’d like them to be.

I doubt that but I’m sure that car will be sent to the RD center. That should not have bent like that.

Never thought I’d see the day Kyle Busch was cheered…at Talladega.
He’s really growing on me. I think I’m just appreciating him more.

Same here. The Busch brothers have mellowed a little and seem to be fan favorites.

It was broadsided at about 170mph or so while being essentially stationary... (It was moving across the track, not down the track, so the impact was not much different than if it was just parked there.)
Short of putting tank armor on them there is a limit to what they can absorb.

I’ve just never seen one fold in like that. Bad day if that was on the drivers side.

that would be a fatal hit on the drivers side..... like pocono and bobby allisons accident....

Feels like we’re playing with fire with these cars.

Same.
I told my cousin(who like me is a Chase fan) this when I saw her in Pittsburgh last month and she looked at me like I had 3 heads.

Yeah Kyle got lucky. Like you said if that had been on his side that would of been no bueno.

Kyle is a certifiable douche bag. He’s quite mellow as long as things are going his way.

How old are you?
At least you didn’t respond with “melt.”
Back to the point, I actually like Kyle and he is the best, but he’s an a-hole unless things go his way.

It would’ve been Tiny Lund, take two.
That is frickin’ scary and I hope the midnight oil is being burned in Daytona Beach as we speak.

Look, Kyle was a douche when he was younger, no doubt, as was his brother. But he's matured and isn't that way anymore.
It was clear that he was unhappy at JGR and both sides needed a reset. Doesn't make him a douche now, though.

You can’t say with certainty that it would’ve been fatal. The right sides of these and any other race cars are built very different from the way driver’s side is built. If the driver’s side was built identical to the passenger side and if the driver wasn’t sitting in a full containment seat with head restraints, or if he didn’t have impact absorbing foam in the door…then maybe it would’ve been fatal but you simply cannot say with 100% certainty what would be fatal and what won’t. Ryan Newman’s Daytona wreck looked a heck of a lot scarier than Earnhardt’s.

He doesn't drive a Toyota anymore, and is part of the RCR/HMS bloc that gets love whether they should or not

Kyle got away from Gibbs and all that crap. Kyle has mellowed with age. Like him or hate him he brings emotion to the sport that desperatly needs it. Dale Sr was not the most popular driver when he drove but did start to mellow a bit later in career. Now he is loved by all fans. Kyle is on a similar path except lets hope not the same ending. He also went to a name brand iconic team.

His brother Kurt was a great driver too. Hard to believe that he only won one championship and that was way back in 2004.
No one was better at Bristol than Kurt Busch.
