I don't know, maybe Palou should have been black flagged for safety? That nose is falling apart.

That was a damn fine race. Lundgaard was the class of the field all weekend. Palou had an incredible drive today too, dealing with that badly damaged wing. Herta was great too, coming from 14th to get on the podium.

Had to watch the replay this evening. Lundgaard was lightning fast today. Thanks to Grosjean being Grosjean and the back-to-back cautions, the strategy made today’s otherwise dull race at the front quite enjoyable.

Lots to unpack from this weekend with the differing strategies, RLL picking up a win, Blomqvist not making it out of Turn 1, and Power running out of fuel.

Add to that with silly season really getting to a roar in the next 14 days and it’s going to be a fun couple weeks.

Thoughts on MSR?

I don’t see Pagenaud racing in IndyCar next year unless he keeps his 60 seat and Blomqvist takes Helio’s seat.

Def could see Pagenaud moving to another racing series.

I mostly agree with your predictions. It certainly seems to be trending that way. Not sure on what will happen with Callum, he’s been less than stellar but the Juncos cars in general have been bad.

Grosjean to Dale Coyne would be wild considering Coyne’s affinity for younger , less expensive talent. But Grosjean brings a budget so he may find a role outside the big 4.

I’d expect Ericsson gets announced to Andretti the first week of August… unless he’s willing to listen to Ganassi.

Kevin Lee and Curt Cavin tend to believe the first domino that needs to fall is Palou but if I’m not mistaken he’s not allowed to discuss until September and the dominos won’t wait until then. Palou should know his F1 fate sooner than later and I’d say it’s not a good chance right now.

I’d encourage you to pick up either Marshall Pruett’s weekly IndyCar podcast or the Trackside replay podcast each week. They’re typically about an hour long but they unpack it all and do a hell of a job.

MSR is due for a bounceback season

They have great sponsors and backing

I don’t see Paganeaud returning either

I think it will be Bkomqvist 100% and maybe even a Rosenqvist , Grosjean, Askew type of guy

Sounds like Linus Lundqvist is signing a contract for a seat in 2024 and will get a shot at maybe the final 3 races of the year. At whose expense? Guess we’ll see soon enough.

Thanks for the recommendation.

FPWill does a weekly video about each race on YouTube. They’re usually pretty funny.

The longer this goes the less likely I see Pagenaud climbing back into that car again. How many more weeks must it go before MSR just pulls the plug and sends him to IMSA?

As a Newgarden guy, I hope he does but you never know. O’Ward is due for a win and knows his way around the track. Same for Power. Palou is fast everywhere. Hunter-Reay has been strong there too back in the day.

Should be a fun weekend! Love the back to back format.
