You just don’t want to take penalty at certain tracks like Monoco where you can’t really pass much

You also don't want to double stack pit stops and cause the race leader to have to wait to pit either, but that didn't stop Ferarri.

The buses there are easy. Everyone is on a different schedule to get to the track. Going back to the city is the problem because everyone leaves at the same time. You just have to deal with it. Wear very comfortable shoes.

I might just get an RV pass. The late night scene is fun out there anyway.

We have a lakehouse for free this year with some friends that are going. I swore off Austin 2 years ago because of the fiasco, giving it another chance 'on the cheap'

Are you driving in from Lake Travis? My same buddy with the RV has a condo at LBJ but we think thats going to be a bit of a long drive every day so we're leaning towards the RV pass. We've done that for Nascar twice and it's fun.

Im holding out hope we will get another Ferrari only brings three tires out to the pit stop again this year. It lead to so much hilarity on the internets last season.

no way this happens. RBR will run into some type of reliability issue or dnf along the way. no even merc at their peak did this.

As a RBR fan, I would be disappointed if that happened

Edit: meaning win every race

i'm in the same boat. i'd like to see AM get some wins and Ferrari. Merc, well i'll actually enjoy them going winless.

LBJ/Horseshoe bay. We stayed in Round Rock last time and had to uber to downtown then bus to the track so thinking the drive wont be too much longer.

I would think there are too many things that can (and will) go wrong for a team to win every race. Has it ever happened before? What is the record for most team wins in a season?

Honestly it seems like every competitive team will serve penalties at some point for replacement parts, which would probably be the only reason for someone besides RBR winning a 2023 race.

Looks like Kimi is doing another NASCAR race this year. At COTA.

Obviously they won't win every race, but the closest team in out right pace is Ferarri and they are a shite show and they fact that they haven't fixed their deg problem over the winter gives me no confidence that they can get there over the season. I have faith in Merc's ability to bring upgrades, but they are so far off the pace it will be hard to compete, i think they just missed the mark on the rule changes and in the cost cap era you can't spend your way out so they are stuck trying to put lipstick on a pig.

Unless the RB runs into unseen reliability issues, which in the second year of a design change seems unlikely seeing how they cleaned things up last year, I don't see other teams catching up with their race pace. Ferarri will definitely win some poles like last year, but will deg their way into 2nd and 3rd place.

Also, for AM, they clearly copied, eh hem, built a nice race car, but im not sure they have the development skills to leapfrog RB. They do have the wind tunnel time advantage.
