When Alonso retired a few years back he cut then chicane 3 or 4 times on the backstretch at Yas. Basically made up 10-15 seconds in 3 laps and only caught a 5 second penalty for track limits.
FIA would never do it, but hit him with 5-10 pts on his license.
Stop and go penalty for not following race direction? Seems a fitting penalty.
