Despite what DTS made it seem I still say that whole mess was on Alpine. Piastri signed with McLaren while Alpine dangled a contract for Alonzo so Oscar took the sure thing, and did so after he had no contractual obligations to Alpine. Then when Alpine lost Alonzo they failed to realize they no longer had Oscar in their back pocket.

Their whole basis on trying to sue Oscar was Alpine basically has a signed promise of maybe a seat, and after it was signed someone at Alpine wrote “legally binding contract” on the top and figured they were good. Alpine did it to themselves
