Rain, other than a mechanical failure, is probably about the only thing that would keep RB from winning every race this year.

And it's not because Max is bad in the rain. It just adds some unpredictability.

Rain, {snip}

adds some unpredictability.

My favorite situation that adds unpredictability is when a race starts dry and goes wet, or starts wet and goes dry. The tension in the pits, the heated discussions on the radio, about when to switch between dry-intermediate-wet tires is fun and even the best teams can make the wrong decision and completely bungle their race.

Listen to Lando's tone on the radio:

Lando Norris’ Sochi Heartbreak | 2021 Russian Grand Prix

Hamilton didn't want to pit either but his team made the right call. I think McLaren was scared to overrule Lando and have it be the wrong decision.

That Sochi race for Lando was gut wrenching.

I have high hopes for Albon and Williams this weekend. Speed-favored track and upgrades.

Well that's going to make lap 1 turn 1 more interesting

If I'm remembering correctly, Haas did well in qualifying last year in Canada in the rain. Hopefully they can get some points this weekend.

Lewis Hamilton has made a staggering five-year F1 contract demand to re-sign for Mercedes, it has been reported.

The seven-time world champion wants to continue racing until the age of 43 as part of a new five-year deal that could see him pocket £250m if agreed, according to The Daily Mail.

Holy shite, that doesn't make sense

This will be fun to watch them be forced into completing turn 1/2. In the rain.

We are looking at Spa and British GP for next year. Haven't settled yet, but really want to do a Euro race.

I want to do F1 at Silverstone. I'd settle for WEC at Spa. I'd also settle for renting a fast car and driving Spa. I'd probably take that over WEC, tbh.

They went out with a bang.

Audi has said they want a German GP back now that they are in. So they will find a way to make it happen. Maybe they come up with some sort of rotation again of Hockenheim and Nurburgring.

So, confirmed now. Drivers can not rejoin track after T2 if they go long on T1 entry. They will have to turn around.

Eh, not sure I like this. That runoff bails out drivers that attempt a move into turn 1 but can't make it stick.

Thoughts on qualifying and the race? A quick glance at the weather shows high chances of rain for qualifying tomorrow but then drying out in time for the race on Sunday.

My thoughts on the race are simple:
