Will Buxton’s post testing standings:
Which he admits will change and doesn't mean a ton:

1. Redbull
2. Ferrari
3. AM
4. Merc
5. Alpine
6. Alfa Romeo
7. Haas
8. Alpha tauri
9. Williams
10. Mclaren (yikes)

Anyone interested in doing some sort of competition with this? Everyone throw out their top 10 plus maybe their top 10 drivers and I will keep track.

Figure award points 10-1 for only correct positions.

Just an FYI but Max and RB are going off as only a -160 for Driver and Constructor Champs

Seems like free money

I personally think the poimts race will be closer than last year and what most think. RB is at top but will have a 2 pronged attack chasing them. I look at it like 2 against 4. Back when Merc was winning the next 2 teams were not as good as Merc/Ferrari are now. RB had a dream year last year but it doesn’t take much bad luck to change things. I just think its going to be closer than most are saying

I think Max is most likely to win the drivers but I'm not so sure on RB winning constructors. Perez isn't much of a driver.

Frankly, I won't be surprised if Ric ends up in the seat at some point this year.

No way. Perez sells merch and brand. Huge worldwide fan following. Meaning they’ll keep him around because Ver is their driver and he doesn’t much interfere.

I just think Ferrari does much better this year it would be almost impossible to do worse based on such great car. Merc is always improving so I see them doimg better.

Max win the WDC and somehow Merc sneak the WCC and RIC will be in the seat.

WCC:
1) Red Bull
2) Ferrari
3) Merc (still think they get it together)
4) Aston Martin (they still have Lance, car or no car)
5) Alpine (Solid drivers. Decent car.)
6) Haas (Debated putting them 5th, you know, they're still Haas)
7) Alfa Romeo (only so much you can do with that team)
8) Mclaren (Between the car and Piastri, they don't do much)
9) Alpha Tauri (With recent stories, I bet they're even more of a red-headed step child to RB)
10) Williams (man, I hope I’m wrong).

WDC:
1) Max
2) Leclerc
3) Sainz
4) Checo
5) Russell
6) Hamilton
7) Alonso
8) Gasly
9) K-Mag
10) Ocon
11) Hulk
12) Bottas
13) Stroll
14) Lando
15) Zhou
16) Albon
17) De Vries
18) Yuki
19) Piastri
20) Sargeant

I have no idea of my driver's lineup and team line-ups are mathematically possible. My bottom 10 drivers was really hard.

While Nascar sheds viewers and has an advertisement heavy broadcast and continues to cater to non Nascar fans - F1 is getting max coverage without commercials.

Adam Stern

.@ESPN says it's ramping up @F1 coverage this year including the first live Monaco race on ABC, more consistent coverage on ‘SportsCenter’ and new content on ESPN+.

@SportsCenter plans to cover F1 before and after all races and go particularly heavy for the three U.S. events.

Because sitting in front of a tv for 4 1/2 hours is boring.

College baseball got the hint, need to speed up the games.

European soccer does it, no commercials except halftime.

I cant watch nascar, bc Ill have been at 4 different events with my kids while the race is going on.

The long races is the one thing Nascar clings to from it's past that it should dump.

Years ago they were actually endurance races. These days between the restricted engines and gear rules they rarely blow up and with power steering/cool suits/cooled helmets the drivers are not worn out either.

Going 500, or more, miles is not a big deal anymore. Hell, guys have run both the Indy 500 and the 600 the same day. Might as well shorten the races as it will keep the audience interested.

That's what they have tried to do with the stages, but it's just a gimmick that has fallen flat.
