Looks like it. I saw he took a medical timeout earlier but no idea why or how serious it was.

Announcers mentioned an abdominal strain or something. Really surprised (and happy because I had Yoshi -3.5) that Mac finished it out. He was serving underhand or lobbing 50-60 mph serves the entire 3rd set.

Let’s go, Sebi. Up two sets and a break.

We’re gonna get a 250 final if Novak can’t play. Hopefully it’s not as brutal as Thiem/Zverev was.

Yeah, that Novak half is a bit rough. I see Rune is third favorite now at +700 because of it. I have a $25 future on Shitsy at 20-1, so kind of rooting for that. But, I think Sinner comes out of that half. Still good value in him and FAA IMO.

Novak will win. He sees this draw opening up and he'll do whatever is needed to his body so that he can play.

Rune will have to get it done quickly if he goes up against Djokovic. I don't think he has the stamina for a 5 set grind.

Yeah, the amount of American flags when they were showing the draws a couple nights ago was unreal. Of course, we have/had lots of USA vs USA so they'r eknocking each other out too.

What do we know about Ben Shelton?

Is he an American to watch going forward or is this run to the 3rd round more him being lucky than good.

I'd never heard of him.

2022 NCAA Singles Champion, turned pro late last year and just missed the cut for the Next Gen Finals. One of 4 players U21 in the ATP Top 100. He's been dominant in Challenger tournaments, but the defense and endurance probably isn't there for a deep major run. Seems to be over-reliant on his serve.

His current run isn't luck as much as it is a decent draw for him.

I'm probably laying off that match, but my favorite bet vs Popyrin is Over 1.5 Tiebreaks (+117).

Can’t find anywhere to bet it (probably good news for me) but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Townsend and Muhammad win the doubles title.

Brooksby is the ultimate homeschool tennis player. I used to play kids like him all the time in MT high school tennis and in summer tournaments, guys from small towns that knew how to play and had great feel but had clearly never taken a minute of conventional tennis lessons in their life.

Mmoh had a 4-2 lead in the 1st set only for JJ to reel off the next 4 games to take the set.

I legitimately think JJ wore 8 different shirts in his match tonight
