Went back and forth on who I thought would win about 3 times during the match

Alcaraz took that shite at the end

Tailed you on Alcaraz over Ruud 3-1 at +290. Nice pick

Great win from someone who is likely to be an all time great! Glad i got to see it.

What a run with the matches against Cilic, Sinner, Tiafoe, and the one today

He earns the #1 ranking with a win today, so I guess it's good enough for top 10, lol.

I know you're kidding but I should have been more clear with that. I was talking more in terms of skill level instead of ATP ranking. He racks up points from small tourneys (many on clay) to inflate his ranking. He's not on the level of Joker, Rafa, Medvedev, Zverev, Alcaraz, etc. At least not yet.

Just noticed when digging up that trophy photo that Ruud is at least an inch taller than Carlito. The ATP or someone needs to get their shite together because that's important info. I've been assuming 6'0" was correct for him all this time. No wonder why he's making finals.

Do y'all think Sinner would have beat Ruud if they played the final?

Ready to see some of these beast go for those last few Masters 1000s. Laver Cup and ATP Finals should be fun too. Wonder if Federer is going to give it a go at retirement next year?

Based on how he played vs. Alcaraz, you would think so but nerves are the ultimate wild card.

I think it would have played out in a similar fashion, unless Sinner ran out of gas. Sinner, like Alcaraz, just has bigger weapons than Ruud. I actually thought Carlos was a little flat at times, but he really seemed to serve clutch down the stretch. I'm not sure if Sinner would have done the same.

Carlos had an extra gear for pressure situations that reminds me of the big 3.
