Lions wasted a 2-13 lead. Bottom of the 9th it’s tied at 15. 3 run walk off.

Every time I put on the Nunez Delgado stream Nunez starts sucking

Going to the bottom of the seventh Delgado leads 10-9 after Nunez blew a 7-0 lead

Delgado wins 10-9 to win the region 23 tournament championship from the losers bracket… but Nunez pushed them this weekend and proved they will be a force to be reckoned with in the future

I don’t think riser ever was below .500 at the midway point. They always started hot or okay but never with such dead bats and injured staff. But yeah this has been impressive for a 3rd and 4th quarter.

Lions hosting this week. Bats are much better and riser has created a descent pitching rotation. Expect him to get coach of the year for southland.

I think UNO is a dark horse in the tournament.

Incredible turn around at SLU with the amount of injuries they had. Riser is good.

As for Sun Belt, hopefully Cajuns can finish strong and make a run in tournament. Need to steal one at Texas State.

Southland tournament kicks off tomorrow with this incredible format. The more I’ve thought about it, the more I love it. Hope more one-bid leagues adopt this format. You want your best team in the tournament and this presents the best option. Even if you have to come out of the losers bracket, you now get the opportunity to reset for the championship.

Baseballs were flying out of Warhawk Field tonight.
Warhawks put up 16 runs.

ETA Which one of you USL pussies are downvoting this? How do you downvote a statement of fact?

Few rough losses across the state last night.

Southeastern was upset by the 8 seed and will have to fight through the losers bracket the rest of the week.

LA Tech got pummeled by Charlotte. They’ll need to win the next two to have any chance of an at-large. Seems unlikely so they’ll have to find a way to win the conference tournament.

Cajuns lost to Little Rock, which will eliminate them from at large contention. They’ll have to win the conference tournament as well.

Woof.

Our offense going hot and cold randomly second half of the season has been frustrating. Going to smear some lamb's blood over our clubhouse door in hopes of keeping the transfer portal away from our good pieces.

The two teams seem very similar to me. They aren’t good teams but they’ve got some great pieces. Which at times when the failing parts of a lineup/pitching staff find a spark, can fool us into thinking they are good teams.

Tech got a huge win last night. MASSIVE game with Charlotte about to start. A win here and Tech is in fantastic at large position. Lose and you’ll need a deep run in the conference tournament. Crazy how one game can make such a big difference, but a win locks Tech into the two seed and C-USA is getting at least two, probably three teams into the field. There is no RPI difference between the C-USA bubble teams so conference standings will matter when comparing the teams .

Tech bats around in the first inning and sends their starter out with a 7-run lead.

Lions and Corpus Christi playing in a fun one. 10-6 in the bottom of the 4th. The ball is flying in Hammond. Kids are allowed to swing away and are facing the 3rd string.

Lions are averaging about 4 homers a game this tournament. Never seen that before.
