The ads on the boards in Seattle are bothering me. They keep coming alive with animated ads during play. How do they even do this? Are the boards on that side entirely green board?

They're not. Just showed a face-off and it was standard ads all around the boards in the rink. Then cut to side view and the boards came alive with motioned ads.

Not a fan of this.

All the fricking ads everywhere are eventually going to make games unwatchable. Soccer boards on the sidelines have those same bullshite digital ads that change every 2 minutes. They're distracting and annoying as hell. I want to vomit every time I see trashy ads on the jerseys.

I'd rather expand the playoffs or figure out some other alternative than all this dumbass nonsense.

Rant over.

This season, the NHL has debuted digitally enhanced dasherboards (DED), which “erase and replace” the advertising found on arena rink boards with virtual ads on broadcasts. The boards sometimes resemble the traditional ones fans are accustomed to, other times, one specific advertiser takes over the boards and the entire rink lights up with its ad.

During the broadcast of the Vancouver Canucks versus Oilers contest in Edmonton Wednesday night, fans expressed their frustration over the glitchy and distracting ads, some of which caused players on the ice to merge with advertisements on the boards.

All the ridiculous ads have gotten out of hand.

The Dallas Stars have scored seven goals in two games. Not two goals in seven games...but seven goals in just two games.

I do not miss Bowness.

I thought it was going to be more of the same, maybe slightly better, but boy was I wrong and I'm beyond glad to eat those words.

Let Dellandrea get better (I know he's playing but he needs that finger to still heal) and get Peterson back and we have even more youth

Blues are the last team to get to finally play. They're up 4-2 in the 3rd period.

PUCK OFF BOYS!!!

4 goals in game one, 5 goals in game two, did this ever happen under Bowness? Either way, smashed Nashville in back-to-back games in impressive fashion and these dogs will hunt. Alabama loses, LSU wins and then this to cap off the night. This calls for a massive bowl of ice cream. Maybe some Magic Shell, but definitely sprinkles because we ALL know why...

Three impressive as hell wins, it's a thing of F***ing beauty right now boys and the first one in attendance. Going to drink the night away. But I'm just gonna have to Finnish off the night with some ice cream, and we ALL know what goes on top and we ALL know why boys...

I'm out on the road and haven't been able to watch/listen because of the start times, but damn this is awesome to wake up and see goals being scored after so many years of bad strategy.

Canucks @ Blue Jackets in the "its 1 week in but the loser is severely fricked" game of the week

Knights @ Flames in a battle of unbeatens for control of the Pacific.

It was weird watching a Wings road game last week and having all these local Detroit ads. I wondered WTF was going on.
