Bracket
After a contentious tournament selection show and two play-in games, we've got our 16-team field. Games all day today and tomorrow. Surprisingly, I don't think there's as many big names this year in previous years, but I still love watching this time of the year. I know there are (or were) a few others on the board

I’ve walked away from UVA, but I will always love lacrosse.
Should be a great tournament.

Maryland definitely showed yesterday they are by far the best team in the country. Outside of Delaware-Georgetown and Maryland asserting their dominance, Saturday definitely had the better games.
Funny side-note: was looking at the Dallas Cowboys Rookie Mini Camp roster and saw a familiar name:
Look at #45. Did not realize Montgomery played for Duke football this past season. He was drafted by the Redwoods last week in the PLL Draft (Roll Woods!!!)

I agree with you, I watched as much as I could given my weekend schedule.
St. Joseph really pushed the Elis, Yale advances, but they weren't convincing.
UVa and Brown were tight for a half, but UVa asserted serious dominance in the second.
And, last night!! Delaware with the :08 goal to advance over Georgetown?
Amazing goalkeeping by Nunes from UVa and Kilkeary from Delaware. Kilkeary kept Georgetown under ten goals, and the Hoyas keeper held Delaware to only ten. Great game with some awesome offensive plays and great defense, as well.

My family happened to be in the DC area this weekend, so we decided to go to the Maryland vs Vermont game. I’m glad we did. Watching lacrosse live is so much more fun than watching on the tube.
Couple of observations:
1) It’s Maryland….then everybody else. They’re relentless. Offensively, everybody can score from anywhere on the field. Defensively, they’re as good as the offense. Probably why the offense can score from anywhere, ‘cause they have to go up against that at practice. And the face off guy…when you’re winning 85% at the x, you’re team is gonna score a lot. Vermont had no answers. They’re legit.
2) As popular as lacrosse is in that area, I was shocked at the attendance for the #1 team in a NCAA Division 1 first round playoff game. I thought there would be more people there than what was in the stands. I don’t know what it’s normally like, and it was in the football stadium, so that probably made it look a little sparse, but I was really expecting it to be much more crowded than what it was. We sat on the 50 yard line about 15 rows up from the field (would be $100,000 seats in Tiger Stadium) and didn’t have anybody around us for the first quarter of the game. It was fantastic! If we lived up there, would definitely go to all the games.
Anyway, it was cool to be in the area and have that experience. It would take a “miracle on ice” kind of performance, I believe, to upend Maryland this year.

Maryland murdered UVA early this year, but I’m not giving up on the 3 peat.

They did.
There are real stakes this time, though win or go home. Virginia has themselves together, now. Every announcer I heard was conflicted since it's a huge match-up, but hoped it would be the final.

Back to back champs. Their 3rd or 4th in the last 7 or 8 years, I believe.

UVA may be playing well but Maryland is different and I watch a good deal of lacrosse.
Having everything on the line just means Maryland will now be focused the whole game.

Maryland has the biggest test to get to Final 4 weekend.
Will be amazing to see Delaware make it if they can pull off another upset.

That's wild.
Rutgers finally punches their ticket to Championship Weekend for the 1st time in program history.

We got a 1 sided battle out of that one.
Still a strong run for the Hoos the last few years.
Maryland ends up the only state school in the Final 4.
Should be a solid Championship weekend in CT.
