I’ll admit Mike Joy is actually pretty cool in interviews I’ve heard and extremely well versed in all aspects of automobile history.
My problem is with Fox. Their shtick is so old. They believe it’s still 2003 and half the audience is fairly new, so they have to explain everything going on like everybody’s watching their first race. Mike Joy has the unfortunate job of being the mouthpiece.

Mike Joy is not a national treasure. He’s just risen the ranks and can’t figure out if he’s from Chicago (where he is from) or a country bumpkin. He has minimal credibility at times.

Just realized there is no competition caution today. Never understood why NASCAR was having them this year when they went back to practice and qualifying. Hopefully this will continue because it is a useless caution.

Here at AMS a couple of weeks ago weather wiped out qualifying and practice so I understood them using it there.
Everywhere else I have no idea.
