I can’t believe they were able to get to the finish under green.

Too bad.

Congrats to Byron. On to COTA next week.

And the new AMS gets a solid B+ from me.

I don't know if it was him, but someone wrecked hard right at the stripe.

ETA: It was Bubba that hit hard.

Yep. Tail end of the lead lap. Chastain finishes 2nd.

Well, I think that ends next week. Road course. And he is the best road racer on the circuit and it's not particularly close.

Bell was penalized for going below the line and falls to a final position of 23rd.

New car, new transmission, shitty tires. Plenty of reasons to not be that confident.

It’s still crazy to see this style of racing at a 1.5 miles track.

I'll be curious to see if the racing stays like this after Goodyear works on the tire some, and as the pavement ages. Will we still be pack racing at Atlanta in 5 years, or will it slide back to more of what we have become used to on a quadoval?

2/3's of the field involved in an incident today....

that hump bump in the middle of the straight away caused at least 2 wrecks that I am aware of.

WTH is that on a brand new surface!!!

I think it was Kyle Busch who said the track had some type of issue when laying down the new pavement, such that they had to go back and re-do some of it.

It was the new tire Goodyear put out. A lot of teams had too much camber on the right front and it caused them to pop.

It wasn't the track. The racing was great.

They better hope it falls somewhere in the middle because they removed 2 lanes of racing, so it's gonna be Texas and Charlotte if the pack racing goes away.

Every driver interview I saw agreed with me about the track, weird

Drivers say it’s meh, fans say meh… Most of NASCAR media translated that into GREAT SUCCESS.

It was a really good race.

Social media(Twitter) isn't exactly the best place to gauge interest . That place is a cesspool.

And I don't think the drivers disliked the track, there are some who dislike superspeedway racing, and that's fine. But the track produced great racing yesterday.

I’m a little mixed on the racing yesterday. Part of me thought it produced some exciting racing at times and the other part of me thought it was a little too much. That track is not built to handle super speedway type of racing. Too many big wrecks that took out a lot of good cars. I like how they made Atlanta different but I’m not sure I would classify the racing excellent.
