It's not a shtick. I legit hate that guy, (Well, severely dislike anyway,)
I dislike him more than Kyle Busch at this point.
Has he EVER not raced in superior equipment to his opponents?

Wanna know the root of why I don't like the #9, there it is. How in the world can anyone REALLY know the "talent of a kid when they're 14. You can't. They signed him because of who his daddy was
It was pretty obvious from those of us who live here in the Atlanta area and watched him at AMS in the Bandelaros or on other go-kart tracks knew how talented he was. Stuff like that sticks out and you just know when you see it. I agree that it was a little young to sign him but Rick Hendrick may have the best eye for talent in the history of the sport. And he also knows how to cultivate it.
Frankly it comes off as jealousy to me IMO.

Is he the pure wheelman of a KB, Larson, Reddick? No. Does he have a knack for reading the track and car and communicating everything to the crew chief to get the absolute most from his equipment which levels the playing field against those wheelmen? Yes
Pretty much spot-on.

Chase probably has the best car more often than anyone else in the sport has it.
No doubt, but a portion of that is his ability to read the track and car and communicate that with his team to get to that point. I've seen him enough in early practice sessions to know his car doesn't come off the truck as the best car.
quote:No doubt, especially once he inked with Hendrick. Doesn't change the fact that he had noticeable talent and was able to do what he had to do to win in those cars. If you go out and watch any of these lower series, especially when there is a touring series night, or event with a large payout you can tell who has the car, who can wheel, and who can do both.
You know he had the best thing on the track in whatever lower series whenever he went out there.

I don't think ranking drivers is a productive exercise since they are all in different cars, but I think most people would put KB or Larson at the top, then there are a few options after that.
I didn't intend it as a ranking, just an assessment that those three along with a few others are seen in the garage and racing community as being the top wheelmen, that you could throw in anything anywhere and have a shot to win. These three do this in their "spare" time and will hop in new cars at new tracks with little to no seat time and compete for or win races just about every week. CBell is another one who does this quite often, though his passion is primarily dirt sprints and micros, and he is less likely to hop from asphalt to dirt modified to late to sprint like the other three.

Talent or just more opportunity to race/better equipment because of his daddy's deep pockets?

Jealousy? Why would a 50 something year old man be jealous of a kid?
My dislike for Chase comes from a dislike of his attitude. The kid has had a silver spoon stuck up his rear his entire career. He's the most coddled driver in the garage. EVERYTHING he's gotten in NASCAR is because of his dad being the most popular driver during the golden age of the sport. Unlike the path of hard knocks that a Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart or Ernie Irving. It's why Larson is the only Hendrick driver I like. He EARNED his way to the top level. It wasn't handed to him. Yet because of his dad's popularity which was thrust onto him, it has inflated his to where he views himself as something he isn't. I just think the kid could use a MASSIE dose of humility.
And I hope someone give it to him this week at Bristol....
ETA: And for the record, I never found myself being a huge Dale Jr fan for many of the same reasons I stated above. However, the difference in JR vs Chase is Dale Jr seemed to have much more self awareness as to his place in the sport. He recognized his "deficiencies" in talent vs his competitors. As a result he was WAY more humble and IMHO, way more likeable as a driver.

You really are having a melt about Chase lol.
Did you see him win in SRX with equal equipment and drivers from all racing backgrounds? I guess not.
Chase also has his pilots liscense I guess he was handed that too.
Some people are blinded so much by hatred they can’t see straight.
Chase just won the reg season title by so much he could sit next week and win it. That shows consistency. He should have 3 more wins at least this year but got Chastained in Cali, Indy road and now thos weekend. You can melt all you want but the kid can drive.
You hate him because he is composed whereas most drivers are not.
Look forward to your future melts lol.

No. Nor do I care to.

What does that have to do with anything? Both my Mom and Dad had theirs. To me that's not a big deal at all. Just shows that he has money and free time.

And Kevin Harrick could have won the title last year until chase did the same thing to him at Bristol last year. You point is???

Is 110-1 on Kurt Busch to win the Championship lighting money on fire?
Assuming that hopefully he comes back for the playoffs it may be worth throwing a couple of dollars at

If you are continuously melting over this kid, it might be time to take a step back. The problem isn't him, it's you.

Weird melt.
I couldn't stand Gordon. Anyone with a brain would admit that in non Hendrick equipment his career is different.
But at the same time to infer he wasn't talented is asinine.
You could say the very same thing about Chase.

Was that intended to be directed at me? You basically reworded my post and added Gordon as another example of talented but fortunate to land a ride that allows them to fully optimize the talent.
The guy I was replying to seemed to be implying that second and third generation drivers are hacks. Not all second and third gen drivers are equal. All I know is he better be ready, because if his stint subbing in the 45 is any indication then another silver spoon kid is about to come onto the scene. Some on here better get ready to start discrediting him too for only winning because of his last name.

Neither have I?! You're either being disingenuous, are really...really bad at math, or are confusing me with someone else. This is my 4th post on the subject, two of which are replies to you. Maybe you should stop ranting to in that case since you now have the same responses as I did prior to you engaging.
