An idea really gaining steam is that a new OEM is about to join NASCAR. And by join, it may mean “rejoin” as the primary OEM being mentioned is Dodge. Whether it’s Dodge or not, NASCAR has indicated that some OEM is getting close to joining.

Honestly, I think Honda would be a great fit. It would create a rivalry with Toyota.

Severe weather is a problem at Kansas this morning. Hopefully it won’t be this afternoon.

Looks like it’ll clear up before the race, air titans are on the track right now.

Hope to see some Byron vs Logano action today.

Dang, Whiteman AFB pulling out all the stops this weekend. Honor Guard, Anthem, and A-10 flyover. Nice.

Did these clowns just miss the start?

Yet when NBC takes over everyone will complain

It’s still embarrassing that they can’t even drive a car with flat tires back to pit road.

NASCAR cautions have gotten longer and longer over the years, and having to push every car with flats back to the pits doesn’t help.

Suarez came to a stop on pit road and still couldn’t get to his box. All because his left rear was flat.

Was this not evident in testing during the off-season?

Is it the clearance issue? Or should they make them run min pressures to gain clearance?

It seems like when they go flat it just sits on the diffuser and can’t move. I don’t know that a minimum pressure would even enhance competition.

Ugh. Chase comes out in the lead after pit stops but was sent to the rear of the line due to "equipment interference" and Hamlin had the same penalty.

WTF is that?

Sawing the rim off instead of the nut seems kinda stupid

That was their only recourse.

They had to because none of the tools they had to cut the nut would fit, the wheel structure was in the way.

Well I wasn't standing there but that cutoff saw that looked like a chainsaw was grinding a shitload of metal so there must have been some room. Hell hit it with a torch for a few minutes until the nut is glowing red and it will spin right off

This is not a great race. Not even a good one.
