Courtney Force is an example of a female driver with the right backing and upbringing.
Maybe Kvyat's daughter is the next.

This isn't a good sign. They had to repair some track damage and race cars haven't even been on the circuit yet.

*I'm still laughing Courtney Force brought up as a driver.

Didn't know about the special requirements in regards to the asphalt for the Pirelli tires.
I'm assuming that is foregone in street races?

That brought me back, I remember as a kid watching swamp buggy races on ESPN back in the mid 90s and thinking how cool that was. Now ESPN fills dead time with championship cornhole, they need to bring back stuff like this.

I too remember seeing those races years ago. Some of those V8 Superboat races as well. Those guys are insane and the boats are fast as hell. Run the same courses as the buggies it seems.
And yes, much more interesting than cornhole.

These things, I used to call it ditch boat racing as a kid, turns out if you google ditch boat racing google knows just what I was talking about.

I caught a couple spectacular crash compilations on them the other night. One dude got wayyyyyyyyyyy out of the course. Flew over the fence.
Apparently they are running twin turbo LS's now. Power is abundant.

Why is ESPN only showing P1?
I mean, I've got F1 TV, so can watch the 2nd, but seems like a huge miss, especially when F1 just came out saying they were looking for new suitors for races after this year.

Track "damage"
Repaired
Whatever they put on the track is going to have a different grip level I'd think. Wonder if that is VHT they put down....
With the spots being evenly spaced like that it would seem to be an issue with the equipment they used to water blast the surface to remove the tar on the surface.
