Not sure how much insight one can gather from that last short climb but Rog continues to look like the class of the field and Movistar looking stronger than Ineos...

Interesting stage. Unfortunately, Valverde went down and is out. I really wanted to see how Movistar was going to fair with their three big guns, the other two are in the top 4 now. Kuss after a good ride is in 8th.

They did maybe 2012 or 2013. Mikel Landa (Basque) started a Euskadi team maybe 4 years ago and Euskatel came back as a lead sponsor I think last year. They are Continental at the moment.

While I suppose most of you all check out GCN from time to time they just put out an interesting piece on motor doping, it is the first 12 minutes of the video. BTW they are extremely skeptical that it goes on and I think they make a good case. I think the most compelling argument for road racing is lugging around the extra weight for most of the day for the limited time and benefit the systems using the best batteries and motors could give you would likely be a net negative.

Mas and Lopez continue to impress Movistar came into this race stacked.
Roglic appears to be in another world. I would like to spend one day on the bike feeling like what it is he is taking. I really hope he gets put under pressure at some point because I would really like to see what he does to respond. Maybe it is just romanticism but I just remember so many races "back in he day" where it was just attack after attack.

I don’t remember attack after attack. But I do remember where the top guys would go off the front of Peleton and go after each other in mountain stages. It wasn’t use your teams to launch you. Your team would get you to base of a mountain and go.
I vividly remember the day they cracked Indurain in TdF
I feel the team launches began with the Schlecks but I know Motorola and 7/11 would team race a bunch.

ROG losing the ROJO would not be a bad thing actually. Then they can wait until next hill stage to go. The last 2 Vuelta's and TdF have proven to me that Kuss is just another Hincappie, Super Domestique but never a true GC guy.

Yeah and 2 of those are HC uphill finishes so he's still in control but it was a dumbass move by Rog going balls out from 15k to go today. Maybe he could have gotten 20 seconds.
