They got hall of fame production from Gronk and won 3 superbowls but okay yeah what a failure

It seems like the Pats are the only ones in free agency Brady winning it all has lit a fire under Bill. This is impressive.

Jags basically sitting out this year helped pave the way for this. Jets also were a lot less aggressive than people expected.

There’s going to still be a ton of interesting movement in that mid tier FA level when the big money dries up.

Per glazer

Either someone finally told Bill the cap is fake, or Nick Cassrio was the cheap arse GM the entire time

Brady won the super bowl without him. You still think they go QB in the draft?

For sure. They are clearly trying to make this offense as QB friendly as possible.

Filing these holes in FA makes a trade up for a QB much more palpable and make much more sense than it did with the pre FA roster.

I think they have their eye on atleast one of the top 5, that they think they can get in range of and have him battle Cam in camp and either let him sit or play year 1 with a much much better supporting cast that can still allow them to compete

James White appears to be leaning towards signing with the Bucs. Makes a ton of sense for him and them

Love sweet feet, gonna be tough seeing him leave

I didn’t say they failed at winning. They failed at taking care of an injured TE

Again they got hall of fame production out of him and were able to win while he was hurt, so clearly they knew how to handle a TE who gets injured often

The lack of spending on the o line for the bengals ,imo, makes it an absolute lock that they draft sewell or Slater. That would be instead of drafting chase, pitts,or smith. This was likely already the case and mock drafts just about all say sewell. their were a few mocks that I saw with pitts or chase goin to Cincinnati. I dont believe that their is any
chance that happens now.tbh,I like the wr depth cinci has.

I'm starting to hear more and more analysts say that sewell may not be the best tackle and that it could be slater from northwestern. That's the only reason I said sewell or Slater above.some say Slater is more versatile.

Is their Anybody around here that knows enough about o line play to give a real opinion on that? If so,anybody like slater better?

Ok. having your HOF TE retire at 29 because his body was beat to shite is exactly what you want.

They minimized the length of his career. Regardless of production.

Or some players style of play leads to far more injuries than others and there’s not much you can really do about it except adapt the offense when they are out but sure let’s pretend like he would’ve never gotten hurt if mean old Belicheck wasn’t his coach

There's always been some that prefer Slater over Sewell. However, Slater just had his pro day and his arms were a bit shorter than you'd like. I think Sewell goes first because there is talk that Slater might be better suited as a guard.

I think that’s the old school school of thought on tackles because he doesn’t have prototypical arm length

I think it’s starting to shift for NFL teams who realize it’s a bit like hand size for QBs, where it really doesn’t matter that much if they’ve got the feet and instincts for the position

Thank you, people scoff at arm length mattering ,it absolutely matters on the o line though.

If hes better suited as a guard, that's enough to fall a little in itself. It's just not done often. A guard going top 5 is a rarity ,if it's even happened at all. Zach martin was as good a guard prospect as I can remember and he weant to dallas in the low teens ,I'm pretty sure.

It may not matter a lot at guard but it matters or is perceived to matter at tackle
