Fox highlighting Davison brought it to my attention that they do a horrible job especially in this race of doing driver run downs. Nobody would have known about the Navy Seal he was carrying if he hadn't bout wrecked.

Was it just me or did the lap cars seem to be REALLY off the pace for this race? Even Gordon commented about the closing rate on lap cars. It was just odd how much slower they were.

The 52 and 66 were awful all night. They were just rolling roadblocks out there, and they caused issues for the real racecars multiple times last night.

Not to mention the other Chevys with Hendrick engines.
A guy convicted of cheating type crimes like bribery and mail fraud is not someone I’d ever trust again.

Turned it on early looked boring as hell as they cruised around with pedal down and massive spoiler. Turned it back on three hours later same cars were in the top 5 and they still couldn't pass. The 550 hp package has ruined the mile and a half tracks.

Yes the race was monotonous garbage. Nascar is so corrupt and broken. Glad I didn't invest a ton of time into this race; I even went and took a shower with 50 laps to go.
On the other hand that Indy 500 was one of the best races I've watched in 10yrs. I don't even recall the last time I watched a whole indy race.
It had me glued the entire race with different strategies, veterans vs young guns. Lead changes galore and not due to some gimmicky stage racing. Maybe Indy caught lightening in a bottle yesterday but that was an awesome race. The only disappointment was NBC's 5+ minute commercial run with 18 laps to go.
Actually one more disappointment, who at NBC thought it was a good idea to have Jimmy Johnson as part of the broadcast team. I thought Letart was fine but watching JJ was like watching ice melt.

I asked this in the Indy thread. Guy said JJ was only doing road courses because his wife was not ok with him running ovals.
