Long line of heavy rain coming up from the Gulf. I'm not surprised and I'm not a Chevy/Chase fan.

Race has been called. Chase wins! Off the schneid baws!

Feels good man. 800th win for Chevy. 268 for Hendrick. Ties Petty Ent.

6th road course win in 14 starts for Chase. He's the king of these things.

Let the siren ring all night in Dawsonville.

This is an embarrassment

Melt.

The rain was only getting heavier. The right call was made.

Too bad they couldn't go the full distance, but I'm looking forward to future races at CotA, think it is a great addition to the schedule.

Happy to see Chase finally win one and get into the playoffs.

It was not getting any heavier than it had been the entire race.

This was a failure.

Would have preferred Larson winning again but Elliot isn't bad.

At least it wasn't Shrub or Toast.

And for Kurt to think to slam the gas when he got into the gravel was impressive, too.

Chase Elliott's spotter, Eddie D'hondt, has been suspended indefinitely by Hendrick Motorsports and NASCAR.

quote:

Bob Pockrass @bobpockrass
NASCAR has indefinitely suspended Elliott spotter Eddie D'Hondt over not giving the required notice of being charged with a misdemeanor/felony within 72 hours.

quote:

Bob Pockrass @bobpockrass
FOX Sports obtained affidavits in D'Hondt case. It stems from a Sept 7 2020 argument over jet ski rentals, where an employee alleged D'Hondt made "full body contact and yelled in my face pushing me back multiple times with body” and "hit my arm away” & “swung a fist at me.” (1/3)

Bob Pockrass @bobpockrass
A criminal summons for assault on a female was issued last September for D’Hondt and then warrant for arrest for battery on an unborn child two weeks ago (both misdemeanors). The assault case has been postponed several times. (2/3)

Bob Pockrass @bobpockrass
The argument resulted because D’Hondt wanted, according to the employee/victim affidavit, a refund or more time on the rented jet ski because they initially did not have the required clothing and were therefore late after getting the required clothing. (3/3).

Given the assault of an unborn child charge, I guess it was a pregnant woman?
