Rumors are starting to swirl that Matty D is heading to the 45 (Jordan/Hamlin) in 2022 with full sponsorship - they're talking to Rick Ware about the charters he owns. Cindric is taking over the 21 next season so he was going to be a free agent.

Where you seeing the 23XI rumors? I'm on reddit multiple times a day for silly season rumors. Never seen this.

One big change is that the chassis and bodies will be built by one vendor and distributed to the teams. Teams won’t build cars from the ground up anymore, they’ll simply assemble the cars.

Supposedly it’ll allow more parity but I’m skeptical

Same. I’ve heard NASCAR talk about how this change and that change would make the racing better before and then it didn’t. I’ll have to see it.

The cars look sharp, though. Now let’s see what they do with the engines and spoilers. I wish they would have abandoned the splitter.

Sounds like an IROC car which removes even more ingenuity from the teams

Yeah same here but I'm gonna be open-minded.

They look pretty, though.

Matty D shows up and outruns him day 1? Bubba will be on a scorching hot seat.

We can only hope. Matty D always runs better than what the car he is in should run.

The Matt D rumors make a lot of sense. Only thing that could change it is if Brad K would be making a move which would open the seat for Cindric.

Three of the NASCAR-owned tracks — Daytona, Darlington and Kansas — just announced they will have fully opened grandstands for their race weekends this summer and fall. No more restrictions on number of fans allowed to attend.

I assume it only means the fall race, not this weekend.

Trucks just had one of the biggest pileups I’ve ever seen at Darlington. Started right at the front of the field on a restart.
