It was potentially one, but a runner on first with two outs and two on with one out call for complete different approaches.

I only got to keep up with half the season, but it seems Burroughs consistently makes pitching changes too late. He's done it all tournament. He makes the change after the damage is done.
I know it's tough with our bullpen but still.

He went from 94 to 89 on his fastball. The first out was about 385 to Center. It was clear he needed to come out of the game.

If Ray can field a routine ground ball, this game is over. He boots it, puts everyone on their heels including your pitcher who is rolling.
It isn’t fair to put an entire game on one player, but Ray’s play was the difference if this score holds

Gonzaga lost two of three so in reality they should be out of the discussion. Their resume doesn’t come close to sniffing Tech’s. Even with a loss, Tech will have a higher RPI. Tech has 8 quadrant one wins on Warren Nolan compared to 5 for Gonzaga. Tech has eight quadrant two wins and Gonzaga has 4. Tech has marquee wins over Ole Miss and Arkansas, Gonzaga doesn’t have the big signature wins (TCU lost two of three to ULM)
