They would need to win the CUSA tournament. Pretty much whoever wins the CUSA tournament will probably host if the winner is one of Southern Miss., Tech or Charlotte.

At the time they announced, there were only going to be 20 schools picked and ODU was 4th in the C-USA pecking order. Timing was bad for them.

He was a pitcher and shortstop in JUCO but that was his first appearance as a pitcher in D1. He struck out two and got a ground out. Ran it up to 93 MPH a couple of times. He needs to pitch more.
